23.01.2022 In the past few years, apprenticeship commencements have decreased in the construction industry, despite it being one of Australia’s strongest growing workforces. This week at GS Building we have had the pleasure of having Hugo, a year 10 work experience student from The John Berne School, join us to experience and learn some basic carpentry skills. Hugo installed engineered timber flooring in one of the apartments on our Rhodes Central project and has enjoyed the experience.... 22.01.2022 Project Completion! Waterfall by Crown - our first Carpentry Contract with Crown Group and we feel very privileged to have contributed towards the successful completion of a landmark multi-residential project. The project involved a multi-faceted carpentry scope ranging from internal fixout through to extensive external works such as Outdure decking, hardwood landscape furniture, pergolas and public domain boardwalks.
22.01.2022 New Project! Ed. Square Residential Precinct Stage 1. A vibrant new addition to the growing City of Liverpool, Ed. Square is being built to become a connected urban neighbourhood that will offer modern living as well as shopping and entertainment precincts. Last week, the GS team commenced site-setup works for Growthbuilt as they get ready to construct the flagship residential village that will form part of the Greater Ed. Square Development.
21.01.2022 We’re back on The Ribbon, IMAX Redevelopment! In November of 2017, we were contracted by Grocon to complete site-setup works for the $700m redevelopment. Working with ATCO Structures & Logistics, we will be completing the next stage of site-establishment works. Home to the world’s biggest cinema screen, the iconic IMAX theatre will be back along with The Ribbon, a new development that is set to transform the Darling Harbour skyline. The GS team are pleased to be back!
21.01.2022 Project Announcement! We are excited to announce our first project for Northpoint Construction Group which entails the supply and installation of Outdure’s aluminium Quickbuild subframe and decking to multiple apartment balconies. We look forward to seeing the finished product and working with the team at Northpoint!
18.01.2022 Project Commencement! We are excited to kick off the internal carpentry fixout and external decking contract at The Neue Macquarie Park for Parkview Group. Set to be the highest skyline icon of Macquarie Park, this project consists of 285 apartments. We are looking forward to delivering the carpentry works with anticipated completion in 2021 Q2.

For our Christmas Party this year, we thought we'd really get into the season of giving and host a Christmas Casino to raise funds for the Lung Foundation Australia A huge thank you to everyone who attended the evening and helped GS raise over $10,000.00 for a cause so extremely close to our hearts. ... Just before the break, GS Building completed the Lung Foundation Australia's Challenge30 and we are proud to say that we finished up with amazing results! The team completed a whooping total of 444.23 km’s worth of running and walking and a grand total of $3,105.60 in donations!... 06.01.2022 Rhodes Central by Billbergia Group. Two towers containing 668 apartments which will top off the skyline as the tallest building within Rhodes. So far, we are 20% of the way through our internal carpentry fixout contract as we begin to ramp up our services with multiple carpentry teams working in both towers simultaneously. We are extremely excited to be part of the team with Billbergia and are looking forward to the successful completion of this project.

04.01.2022 New Project! Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Redevelopment Stage 2. We are proud to announce that we have secured the contract for the supply and installation of Handrails and Crash Rails and, FFE installation with Watpac Limited as part of the momentous $200m upgrade that will see the deliverance of a state-of-the-art hospital.... The project comprises the redevelopment of the existing hospital on the Hornsby campus and will include the development of a new Clinical Services Building and a multitude of other essential facilities such as an ICU, Ambulatory Care Centre and Rehabilitation Inpatient Units. It focuses on providing a significantly enhanced experience for patients, carers, staff and visitors to the hospital in a purpose-built facility that caters to the needs of the community well into the future and we are privileged to be a part of it.

02.01.2022 GS had a wonderful evening last Friday at the Hope in Every Breath Gala Ball. Hosted by The Lung Foundation Australia, the evening aimed to shine a light on lung cancer and celebrate courage against all odds. Devastatingly, almost 13,000 people are diagnosed with lung disease annually. The Lung Foundation Australia are committed to finding hope through research and discovering better treatments options and ultimately find a cure for lung cancer. With all funds raised on the evening being put directly towards this vital research, GS Building couldn’t be happier support such a critical cause.
02.01.2022 Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Carpark. Last year, we assisted Built. by providing our labour resources to install crash rails as well as the external cladding of the RPA Carpark that now accommodates to over 2000 staff working around the clock at the hospital
