23.01.2022 The Victorian Government has announced updated restrictions for Melbourne and regional Victoria. For the latest information on restrictions to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), visit the Department of Health and Human Services. A dedicated Industry Coordination Centre has been set up within the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions to support businesses and consider ‘grey area’ cases to determine if businesses can safely operate under Stage 4 restrictions. 21.01.2022 Information on Melbourne's restricted postcodes Given the increasing numbers of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in particular locations and the heightened risk of transmission, Stay at Home restrictions have been applied to several Melbourne postcodes. More information about restrictions, including the full list of restricted postcodes, is available on the Department of Health and Human Services website. If your business is affected by the Stay at Home restrictions in these postcodes, you may be able to apply for a one-off $5,000 grant under the Local Lockdowns Business Support Program.

The Great South Coast Regional Partnership is pleased to announce applications are now open for the Victorian Government’s new Let’s Stay Connected Fund, designed to support community connectedness in response to the unique challenges presented by physical distancing. Grants of between $5,000 and $200,000 are available for community groups to develop acc...essible, digital content or scale up innovative approaches to community activation and engagement to combat loneliness and isolation. A reminder that all businesses must collect records of all workers, customers and clients who visit the workplace for 15 minutes or longer. The Great South Coast Regional Partnership advocated for this funding so the Great Ocean Road can continue carrying millions of people each year. Not only will this funding make our roads safer, but it will continue to attract visitors as Victoria’s number one tourist route. Following an extensive recruitment campaign, Lisa Dwyer, a local dairy farmer and board member of Murray Goulburn Cooperative Co Ltd, Dairy Australia and Australian Livestock Export Corporation, has been re-appointed Chair. Championed for by the Great South Coast Regional Partnership, the Creative Industries Strategy will provide a roadmap for supporting creative industry practitioners, organisations and supporters in the south west of the state. 06.01.2022 Applications are now open for the Business Costs Assistance Program, which offers grants of $2000 to small businesses, including sole traders, regardless of whe...ther they employ people or not. The grants will support businesses in eligible sectors that have incurred direct costs because of the COVID-19 circuit breaker action. Applications close on 16 March 2021.

05.01.2022 Minister for Training and Skills Gayle Tierney announced today that South West TAFE construction students will help build a multimillion-dollar Learning and Library Hub at the Warrnambool campus as part of Government’s Big Build Apprenticeships program. Local apprentices and trainees from SW TAFE will comprise 10% of the construction workforce and work alongside professional contractors like builders, plumbers and electricians to gain real-life industry experience... constructing the $20.25 million Learning and Library Hub.
