22.01.2022 Introducing our new Youth Development Officer!! Hi everyone, my name is Maddy McKinna and I am very excited to have been appointed as the youth development officer for the Glenelg Shire Council. It has been hard for me to be able to get around to meet everyone during the current COVID19 restrictions. So to get to know me a bit better here are 3 fun facts about me. 1) I am obsessed with Shar Pei’s!! I have two of my own Theodore and Penelope (who are posing in the photo with ...me) and they have the most dorky personalities. There is something about their squishy faces that brings a smile to my face. 2) I love playing netball and basketball. I have spent the majority of the last 10 years playing for Westerns Football Netball Club in Portland. Usually you will find me in the goal circle shooting some hoops well hopefully getting them in. 3) I am currently studying psychology and am expecting to have my Bachelor degree completed next year (woohoo!). I hope to visit each high school in the Glenelg Shire over the coming few weeks to meet some of you in person before the summer holidays. This year has been really tough but I’m excited to meet you all and to start working on some fun and exciting youth programs for 2021
