15.01.2022 Our biggest Congratulations to Dr Ray Ferguson on receiving the Medal of the Order of Australia for his service to the vet industry. So many of our members know Ray and he's helped so many of our dogs under his care, and that of Monash Vet Clinic who have been such great sponsors and supporters of the GSDCV and our member’s dogs. Well done Ray, We salute you !!
14.01.2022 The GSDCV Breed Affairs meeting scheduled for Thursday 9th July has been cancelled due to the reinstatement of stage 3 covid 19 restrictions in metro Melbourne. Say safe everyone !!

07.01.2022 VALE Valerie Moore (Ainslie) It is with sadness that the GSDCV advise that past President (1973) and Secretary (1972) Valerie Moore (Ainslie) passed away on the 18th October 2020. Val treasured the memory of being a part of the people, the club and the dogs as a President & Secretary in the early 70's. An exciting time in the Club's history with the removal of the import bans. Without the passion of such members, the GSDCV would not be the Club it is today. The GSDCV sends its condolences to Valerie's family.

07.01.2022 Due to the return to stage 3 covid-19 restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire, all our metropolitan training branches (Eastern, Malvern, Northern, Skye, SSB and Western) will now be closed for 6 weeks (to August 19). Our country training branches (Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Gippsland & Wodonga) remain open for members in those areas, with safe training protocols in place. Stay safe everyone !

06.01.2022 Breed Survey Update: Due to COVID-19 we have been unable to hold the August and October Breed Surveys. Any members wishing to Breed Survey dogs who have NOT YET applied should contact the GSDCV Registrar with an expression of interest. 02.01.2022 The GSDCV SGM scheduled for Sunday 25th of October 2020 has been cancelled due to government restrictions relating to covid-19. The SGM was to discuss motions and nominations to put forward for the GSDCA AGM to be held in February. Any financial member of the GSDCV wishing to put forward a motion or nominate a member for a position to be considered at the GSDCA AGM is to submit to the Secretary via email [email protected] by 5pm on the 25th of October 2020. Items put forward must contain a detailed motion and rationale. Any item put forward will be considered by the Management Committee of the GSDCV as to whether it is forwarded to the GSDCA.
