23.01.2022 The Malvern Branch is CLOSED for training due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Stonnington Council have CLOSED our training grounds and pavilion from March 23rd until the week beginning April 13th. This could well be extended. This means you will have to continue your dog training at home and out and about for the next few weeks.... Your health and safety is important to us so please be careful and diligent in all that you do in your normal day to day life. We will continue to communicate and update members with happenings. 18.01.2022 To all Members of the GSDCV, In these uncertain times, I wanted to reach out to you personally regarding the current situation of Global, National and Local Health situation relating to the COVID-19 Corona Virus strain. The GSDCV wishes to advise that we intend to follow any relevant Victorian State Government or similar direction, if or when such policies are advised regarding the meeting or gathering of groups. At present, the gathering of individuals for clubs such as o...urs are not yet prohibited, and therefore Club and Branch activities may continue as usual. We will however ask that you; - DO NOT ATTEND your branch activities if you are unwell - DO NOT ATTEND your branch if you have any reason to believe that you may have been in contact with anyone who may have the COVID-19 Virus - Please practice sterile behaviours when greeting and being in close proximity to other members - Canteen staff (if applicable) are to be extra vigilant regarding health and hygiene practices - Do not congregate in groups indoors - Keep your distance while outdoors - Social Distancing While these restrictions may seem to be an inconvenience, I feel that they are a common sense approach to our current situation. 13.01.2022 A wonderful good news story. Congrats to Grubby, and owner/breeder Gayle, on reaching the amazing age of 15 years. Grubby has attended Malvern branch all her life. Grubby achieved Companion Dog obedience title and participated in many demos with Malvern including Moomba and The Royal Melbourne Show. Grubby was graded Class 1 in Breed Survey and her progeny have been awarded multi Excellent conformation medals and multiple Obedience and Tracking titles. Happy 15th Birthday Grubby.

11.01.2022 Celebrating Abbi's 13th birthday and newcomer to the 13 Club. Abbi and owners Grant & Lin have attended Malvern since Abbi was 8 weeks old. Abbi has achieved her Endurance Test and Companion Dog Obedience titles, and participated with Malvern in many demos including Moomba and The Royal Melbourne Show. Abbi continues to enjoy her retirement

05.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the return of stage 3 restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne we are once again closed for training (until ~August 23). We know this will be disappointing for all who have been attending classes recently, especially those with young dogs and puppies.
