25.01.2022 Just a reminder Show training is on this Sunday February 7 at KCC PARK Cranbourne. Starting at 12.30 with puppies. Many thanks for the great attendances in 2021,which justified our training in January for the first time. So all are welcome again, keeping in mind we have a Breed Survey on February 21 and Championship Show in March so keep the good work going. See you there.

23.01.2022 In adherence with the current government advice regarding gatherings and the closure of KCC Park, please be advised that the GSDCV Special General Meeting sched...uled for 29th March 2020 at KCC Park is CANCELLED. The SGM was to discuss and vote on the 60 Day motions from the recent GSDCA AGM. The GSDCV needs to provide a Club vote on the 60 day motions. Branch Managers will provide branch members with the 60 day motions via email to enable interested members to either vote yes or no for each of the motions. Members can also obtain the motions by requesting from the GSDCV Secretary or referring to the Autumn Edition of the Quarterly National Review (Page 41). For guidance, the GSDCV Executive viewpoint is that the motions should be supported as listed. Return responses to the GSDCV Secretary [email protected] by 7pm on Sunday 29th March 2020, Please include your name and membership number for verification of voting eligibility.

Whilst this is disappointing for us the health and wellbeing of ou...r members and visitors is our highest priority. We are hopeful that we will be able to put on a show in 2021 and see you then!

16.01.2022 Interesting reading through the GSDCV Show Instructors Manual.I thought these notes on training are not remembered by most instructors and probably why those training their dogs are not practising this way all the time. Maybe this is worth reading and putting into practice and then see the benefits with better performance from our dogs. Now is the time to put these things into practice. READ AWAY

13.01.2022 During these times at home nothing better if you have a puppy or your older dog to spend time to play tug or with toys or a ball to build up that bond for when you want them looking for you in the show or obedience ring.Even walking on or over different things in parks or in the street. Maybe even show us on this page where you take your dogs for others to see.

13.01.2022 Training is on again at SSB this Sunday at 12.30.Time to put our energies in the show ring not the SCG. ONLY WEEKS TILL OUR FIRST BREED SURVEY FOR 2021.Don't forget to get your paperwork in asap. Shortly after is our Championship Show,so time to get the practice in. Remember we must conform to Covid rules whilst training and at KCC Park. See you all there.

13.01.2022 Well I think we all enjoyed a great Championship Show and Restricted Trial last weekend with fine weather, great judges and a top atmosphere. Now the training needs to keep up as there is our second Breed Survey in April and our State Breed exhibition and Restricted Obedience Trial is in May. Starting from Sunday we will be able to show those planning to enter the open show classes at the SBE how to prepare their dogs for the off lead gait in their individual. Hope to see everyone there at 12.30pm.

06.01.2022 SSB invite anyone who wants to get their dogs in good fitness for the National. We plan to be at Wright Forest,Cockatoo at 2pm every Saturday leading to the National. Hope we see a good roll up. Maybe go to our favorite cafe about 4 pm if those coming can let me know and I will book a table. This training is in addition to Sunday show class at SSB,where this week the instructor is Nicky Mc Dermott. Also there will be canteen open every Sunday. ... Please share so everyone is included.

04.01.2022 Due to the return to stage 3 covid-19 restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire, all our metropolitan training branches (Eastern, Malvern, N...orthern, Skye, SSB and Western) will now be closed for 6 weeks (to August 19). Our country training branches (Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Gippsland & Wodonga) remain open for members in those areas, with safe training protocols in place. Stay safe everyone ! See more

04.01.2022 HI ALL SSB IS BACK THIS SUNDAY JAN10. Because 2020 was such a bad one we have decided to start training early 2021. For all those wanting to Breed Survey their dogs this is the perfect opportunity to prepare for the February survey or just to get the dogs out for a run. We still have to be aware of Covid restrictions and carry a mask and socially distance and make sure you register when you arrive. Training starts at 12.30pm with the young ones ,moving to the adults later.... When people are not training their own dog they could help with another. Hope to see a great turn up at KCC Park,Cranbourne this Sunday. See more
