20.01.2022 Congratulations to our newest Black belt students who graded to Shodan at the Doubleview dojo last week, under examiner Grant Rollinson Sensei (6th Dan). 17 year old Conor and 14 year old Monty have been training at WSKFs Doubleview dojo for nearly six and seven years, respectively, and both worked extremely hard in the lead up to their Gradings.
19.01.2022 As 2020 draws to a close we thank you for your continued support and congratulate our students for another great year. The competition season was reduced by the COVID-19 restrictions, but we still managed two competitions and the WA State Championships. The following awards are based on competition results:... Doubleview Club Champion: James Small (1 Gold medal from 2 events in Kata) Congratulations also to James on attaining his 1st Dan this month. Thanks again to Instructors: Senseis Grant Rollinson, Linda Lim-Scriven, Eric Truong, Sheela Rollinson, Mujtaba Safdari, Monty Valmiki and Conor Murphy and Sempais James and Ryan. After our last class we enjoyed amother great night out at 3 Sheets on the Lake, to relax and celebrate the year that was.

We had Peewees competing for the first time, along with other first... time competitors and first time medalists from some more seasoned competitors. In total we took 9 Gold , 7 Silver, 8 Bronze plus 6 Peewee Bronze medals from 49 entries! Special mention for James who took Gold for Boys 14/15yrs Developing Kata (no photo available)

03.01.2022 Our last WSKF Doubleview training session for 2018 was enjoyed with some light training, and a few karate-based games before we headed off to our end-of-year party and Awards Night. Congratulations to the following students who won this years awards: WSKF Doubleview Club Champions:... Senior - Serena Vivian (1st Kyu) for 2 Silver and 4 Bronze medals from 7 events in both Kata and Kumite; and Junior - James Small (2nd Kyu) who won 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal from 4 events in Kata this year. 01.01.2022 We regret to announce that all classes have been temporarily suspended as a result of the social distancing requirements to reduce the spread of Covid-19. While we put in place all Government recommendations as soon as possible, perhaps as a community it was not enough and now we have had to stop indoor training. Please continue your karate training as best you can during this downtime, and watch out for news of our online / distance learning soon....
