24.01.2022 Used in various classroom activities and musical productions, this shadow screen staging system is used to create symbolism or add another interesting dimension with coloured lights. P&F are always keen to support GLSC Performing Arts.
24.01.2022 The Cold Cut Metal Saw is used by Year 11 Industrial Technology Skills students to cut the metal for 2 tasks. 1 is a Sand Anchor and the other is a Metal Bracket. The saw produces a very neat, straight cut and does not heat the metal as compared to cutting with an Abrasive Cutoff Saw. Another P&F Wishlist item.
24.01.2022 Students enjoy the opportunity to develop their barista skills through training and practice. A very valuable addition to the Hospitality curriculum. You may also have enjoyed a coffee from this commercial coffee machine and grinder at last years Shepherd's Fair. A great example of the P&F supporting the College students and community.
20.01.2022 Even on chilly days, students love socializing at these new exterior tables located outside the Art Department. The P&F recently approved the funding for more units so keep an eye out.
20.01.2022 Attached to a skateboard or other surface, the Gopro Hero 7 allows students to capture raw images in addition to JPEGs and also shoot bursts of images. It also has the capability to live-stream. The P&F recognizes the importance of offering a large diversity of resources and were happy to support this request from Film, TV and New Media.
19.01.2022 In 2019 a significant upgrade in the capacity and quality of the Food Technology and Hospitality Kitchen was undertaken which saw the reconfiguration of the existing space. Thanks to the support of the P&F brand new appliances were purchased too including 12 gas cook-tops, 6 ovens, a professional pass through dishwasher, under-bench freezer as well as 24 knife sets.
17.01.2022 Keeping the health and well-being of our College community as top priority, it was decided with a heavy heart to cancel this year’s Shepherd’s Fair. We look forward to a fabulous celebration in 2021.
17.01.2022 Completed artworks can dry safely without getting damaged in 4 spring loaded art racks. Proudly funded by the P&F in 2019.
15.01.2022 Junior Years - students learn about composting and enjoy the thrill of growing their own vegetables. After years of intense usage the garden beds received a major overhaul funded by the P&F.
13.01.2022 These brand new sewing machines, funded by the P&F, are lightweight and easily moved from classroom to classroom, allowing multiple textile classes to run at the same time. Mrs Jansen's Yr 9 Textiles class, held here in a standard classroom, created their own fabrics, purses and pouches to protect valuables.
13.01.2022 Brand new ukuleles were requested by the Music Department. Students from Year 3 were keen to progress their "Havana" renditions and the P&F were happy to keep those little fingers plucking

05.01.2022 Another great resource funded by the P&F. The Daguerreotype Achromat 2.9/64 Art Lens, inspired by a long-lost aesthetic, presents the return of dreamy, ethereal photographs and allows students to experiment with visuals. Honing the essence of the world’s first photographic optic, the lens offers the versatility of 21st century technology with the eminent characteristics of 19th century paintings.
02.01.2022 10 brand new Sony Camcorders have been purchased for the Yr 9 & 10 Media Arts classes. With the increase in camera numbers, students will be able to experiment more and gain valuable experience using this media tool.
02.01.2022 Visual Arts requested Virtual Reality Headsets and controllers from the P&F to support students in engaging with the digital world. The new senior course encourages a variety of mediums, especially digital technologies. Callum and Rylie explore the Tilt Brush app, painting in 3D space with virtual reality.
02.01.2022 An additional magazine storage unit was funded for the Library due to a noticeable increase in interest and borrowing of magazines.

01.01.2022 Year 12 Fashion students enjoy the benefits of both male and female mannequins to test out sizes, styles, and gain a sense of how the garments will look on a real body.
