23.01.2022 The boys wearing their bronze medals after 3 days of very competitive volleyball at the Qld Schools Cup. The standard of play was extremely high in Div 1 and 3rd place is a great result. Well done boys and thank you Ms Oakley and Mr Moore.
22.01.2022 After defeating Grammar in the Sunshine Coast final in the morning the boys played against the winners of Brisbane North region in Narangba Valley High in the afternoon. NVH gave a huge total of 161 runs to chase. The boys dug deep with their bats and chased them down. Special mention to Cooper Lea and Jack Herriman both passing half centuries and to George Giblett taking 4 wickets for 10.

21.01.2022 GSLC @ State Volleyball - Stella Dye and Josh Moody represented Sunshine Coast at the State Championships. Sunshine Coast Girls placed 3rd and Sunshine Coast B...oys placed 4th .... both in 4 set matches. Congratulations to the Sunshine Coast teams and to Stella & Josh on representing our region and GSLC with pride!
20.01.2022 Sunshine Coast Schools T20 Cricket Champions!!! Grammar kept the boys down to a total of 81, with the Skipper Jack Herriman top scoring with 30. However Grammar had no answers to the spectacular display of bowling from GSLC.

19.01.2022 GSLC @ Independent District Swimming - Our 9-12yrs and 13yrs+ swimming teams represented our College at last week's Independent District carnivals. Our 9-12yrs ...team came second on the basis of school size and fourth overall. Our 13yrs+ team came fourth on the basis of school size and fourth overall. These are excellent results in a very competitive district. 19.01.2022 After being undefeated all term the Junior girls scissa touch team confirmed that they are the champions by winning the grand final 1-0 In a very close battle with MFAC. Well done team!!!

19.01.2022 GSLC Equestrian - Lots of time and effort goes into preparing the horses. Everyone’s efforts are certainly paying off with the girls recieving great results so far, having so much fun and learning a lot.
19.01.2022 GSLC Surf - Pacific Pulse 2019 GSLC placed 2nd of 8 teams in the 2019 Pacific Pulse surf contest. Hayden Danswan placed 2nd in the Under 10's, Alexandra von Hom...eyer placed 1st in U12 girls and Xander Sali-Fulton placed 1st in U12 boys. Congratulations! Our students from Year 3 to 6 surfed really well and supported each other the whole day. They represented the school extremely well!
18.01.2022 The Qld Schools Surf League surf life saving event was held at Mooloolaba last Friday. Well done to Amali Scott, Zoe Longhurst, Mia Jeffries, Grace Giblett and Kai and Finn Thompson. Special congratulations to Kai who came away with the 16yrs Age Champion trophy. Thankyou to parents and staff for their support on the day.

15.01.2022 They did it again!! To beat Victoria Point SHS The boys had to chase down 4-120 for the win. Our openers George Giblett and Max Cooper got us off to a great start before Luke Smalley smashed out 45 runs off 15 to seal the game. Jack Herriman took the 4 wickets. Next game in a few weeks time will be for the South Qld Championship.

09.01.2022 QLD All Schools Touch 2019. The weather was threatening again this year but it didn’t stop our open mixed team qualifying for finals. Well done team winning 6 from 7 games to get there. First time Gslc has made finals since 2014! Good luck!

08.01.2022 GSLC Sport and Covid-19 The college continues to respond to the advice of professionals and responding to the needs of our students which includes the various extra curriculum programs they participate in. Although individual comps may or may not proceed, the college has adopted the position of no participation in external sporting competitions until further notice. The Department of Education has notified our sports office that all representative school sport programs, including district, regional, state, national, interstate and international competitions, are cancelled until further notice effective from 17 March 2020.

06.01.2022 8 GSLC students trialed yesterday for the Independent District Surf Team. It was a great effort by all competitors as the conditions deteriorated as the day went along. A special mention and congratulations to Noah McCudden (yr 12) and Ruby Barber (yr 7) for qualifying for the District team to compete at the Sunshine Coast Regional trial in August. Well done to all of our students for representing the college so well and thank you to our fantastic parent supporters.
05.01.2022 Congratulations to the 3 GSLC teams in the Sunshine Coast Schools Waterpolo Grand Final tonight. Junior Boys A had a win against St Johns 8-5. Intermediate girls A win against Matthew Finders 9-5, and the Open girls firsts went down in a very close game to Mathew flinders 5-9. Congratulations to Year 9 student, Juliette Painter for receiving the award of Player if the match in the open girls final. 04.01.2022 Congratulations to all GSLC riders who attended the Victory College interschool showjumping yesterday. Well done to India for winning the Secondary 90cm class, and Hannah & Molly for coming equal 3rd in the secondary 70cm. GSLC won the trophy for the Secondary Highest points Team (India, Molly & Hannah) Great riding everyone.

03.01.2022 Jack and Levi Herriman were both fortunate enough to represent their country this weekend playing touch in the U18 mixed team against New Zealand in the NTRA Trans Tasman. They all played very well and won all three games.

The intermediate girls A junior boys A progressed easily with wins by 20. The senior girls A had to fight a bit harder going to a penalty shoot out against St Andrew's, winning 9-10

02.01.2022 GSLC Equestrian - Great first day competing at Fraser Coast, with Good Shepherd winning 3rd in the Grand Parade out of 63 schools! The girls were so beautifully presented with their horses and so proud to be representing their school.
02.01.2022 Congratulations to the Intermediate Boys for winning the SCISSA Touch grand final. It was a very close game with Grammar that went to a drop off, and the GSLC boys scoring first for the win. Mr Carey was very pleased to award the pennant to the skipper Levi Herriman.
