25.01.2022 COVID in Kenya - tough times! Coronavirus is impacting the people of Kenya like the rest of the world. The official government numbers are 1618 confirmed cases, 58 dead and 421 recovered (29 May 2020). However, the numbers are questionable, with only 52,507 tests done in a country with 51 million people (0.1%). The curve is going up exponentially now with approximately 150 new cases each day. GSP SCHOOLS We have concerns that some of our schools may not ‘survive’ the challenge posed by COVID, because for them there has been no income for months because there has been no school and most have little financial reserve. 24.01.2022 Vine True Academy is a new member of the GSP family and is partnered with St Thomas Aquinas Primary ACT. We arrived late in the afternoon and the students had stayed back to welcome us. It was a great celebration and fantastic to see the school.

22.01.2022 Visit to LynPark Primary - what a wonderful time at LynPark on Wednesday. LynPark is partnered with St John Vianney Primary in ACT. This school was foundered by the dynamic Lynette who walked away from her corporate career in Nairobi to start a school in a remote rural area of Kenya.

GSP has shown that where we provide clean water and sanitary toilet facilities the student absenteeism from related illnesses like gastro, skin and eye infections etc reduces by 72%!

20.01.2022 Good news from Kenya - GSP schools in Kenya have again achieved improved KCPE results according to data from School Directors following the release of the National exam results. This means more students will be able to attend secondary school in 2020. We believe GSP assistance with better learning environments, improved sanitation, text book supply and sponsorship program have contributed to this success.

16.01.2022 Providing water for the first time - Global School Partners has given Students at St Pius Preparatory School in Kenya access to water on the school grounds. Currently only years 4 & 8 are at school because of Covid but water access is a government Covid requirement.
