18.01.2022 Hello Everyone ! Just a little intro from another Giru SS P & C Member ! I’m Emily & have been the Vice President for the past 3 years. You have seen me around as I not only am a member of the P&C but a Teacher Aide at our wonderful school as well. I have 3 children , 2 of whom attend the school. ... The best part of being in the P&C is simply just having an opinion on where the money we raise goes. We fundraise as much as possible and give as much as possible to our school. From every raffle we run to every fun run we create, it is all to better our children. Why wouldn’t you want to chip in and have a go at making that difference. So come to a meeting one day or just catch a member and have a chat about what we do. I love the social aspect to our team. We can make a difference while having a great time along the way. Take Care & Have a Safe & Happy Holiday!

09.01.2022 URGENT ASSISTANCE REQUIRED!!! ... 1 Volunteer needed to help us man a Canteen at Pioneer Park Speedway this Saturday 12th September from 4:30pm to 9:30pm. In return for volunteering, you will receive a FREE FAMILY PASS to a fantastic night of fun! The money we get from volunteering at these events, goes towards purchasing items for students booklist, to help lighten the load for parents when it’s back to school time in 2021. 08.01.2022 Hi I’m Lisa Ironside, the current Giru State School P&C Association President! I have two daughters who are currently in Year 5 and Year 2. I have had the pleasure of holding the President role for the past 4 years, during which time I’ve had a blast. There have been lots of exciting changes and LOTS of fundraising! ... Fundraising comes in many shapes and forms - raffles, discos, colour fun runs, speedway events and helps the P&C to contribute towards whole school, classroom and technology resources. Feel free to say hi or come along to one of our meetings ... we don’t bite!

06.01.2022 Meet our Treasurer Hi all, my name is Jenna Koppen. Many of you know me or have seen me around before but for those who don’t me, let me introduce myself. I am a local born and bred Giruvian and I love our little community. You will see me at school teaching alongside our great teachers and helping out where I can. I enjoy spending time with my little family and in my spare time you’ll find me helping out on our family cane farm. I joined the P and C 3 years ago and g...ot elected as treasurer. I joined because I want to help our school community grow and strive for the future. We have a great crew and are always up for new ideas. If you do see me around come and say hi.
