25.01.2022 It's safe to say, I've been fairly busy keeping my customers going! That's not to say I haven't been enjoying being involved in what is a ripper of a season in the Riverina region

25.01.2022 One of my customers has upgraded his header but kept his original D65 Macdon draper front so it was decided we might give it some love ready for his new (to him) header when it is delivered. Getting things done nice and early means one less job on the list at the pointy end of the season, plus, I had a nice big shed to work in to beat the heat

25.01.2022 Made a start on a 340 Magnum today by pulling the engine out Time to fab up a stand and start pulling the Iveco down for rebuild

25.01.2022 Tappet cover leak on this old JD today, Tappet cover off Valve lash reset to spec New gasket and torqued it all up... Job done!

24.01.2022 Living the dream out at Urana this week

Cheers,... Cam, Emily & Fletcher See more

23.01.2022 Back out and about today, another checkover and diagnosing a few issues a customer had with his header and tractor during harvest

23.01.2022 Major service on a late model Magnum including tappet adjustment and a CVT transmission calibration to finish off my week! Used a few WIX filters where I was able to on this one, which are available for most applications. Give Cam a call to price up your machine!

23.01.2022 Couple of Golden Oldies getting their yearly check-over. So glad these pair have stayed on my books for another year, love working on these old girls Think your farm equipment needs a bit of attention before your 2020 season? Call Cam for a hassle-free inspection and quote today! Headers, Tractors and implements, no dramas!... Mobile air conditioning repair and general servicing also on offer Ph: 0488118633 [email protected]

23.01.2022 It's back into the red gear this week with a bit of a birthday to the feeder house. By the looks of the paddocks, it's gonna have a big job on

23.01.2022 Getting a bit done, playing in the mud

23.01.2022 Bit of saturday fun doing some tractor work! Got to re-seal a leaking shift valve from an old powershift Case IH 8920 magnum. No matter how many times I pull one of these apart, I am still amazed at the design!

23.01.2022 Red, yellow, blue Old and new Trust me when I say this, I do NOT discriminate! (I'll even have a crack at green machines )

22.01.2022 Anyone who has owned an MX Magnum before will probably recognise this hose, fairly common and a rather testing job, but with the right tools and some experience behind me I got this one done this morning nice and quick! Jobs like this really test the old washing machine out though!!

22.01.2022 Bit strange doing an A/C at this time of year, but a pre-season repair called for a compressor replacement Don't wait for the first hot day of the year to find out your cab isn't cold, check your system function and give me a call

21.01.2022 The A/C gear is certainly earning its keep this week

21.01.2022 Bit of welding today repairing a rotor cage in place of a previous dodgey repair job

21.01.2022 Kicked the year off with a pre-season checkover with one of my long-time customers in Rand! Keep a look out for me in your area! Cam

20.01.2022 Old 23's are on the go

19.01.2022 Leaking rear main sorted, time to lift her back in and bolt everything up, how else would I have fun on Sundays????

19.01.2022 Bit of fun to start the week, customer had trouble with this Kenworth 404's cranking speed. Ran a few tests and found a fairly significant voltage drop during starting due to corroded leads from battery to starter. Made up some new leads and while we were at it threw a shiny new starter motor in her and she's back to her old self

18.01.2022 Finished a set of kingpin bearings + seals and a leaking diff centre off today in Rand on this neat 340 Magnum Gave the centre a quick check over for a bit of piece of mind for the customer while it was out, ready for a big hay season up north

18.01.2022 Its back to cool times stacking hay for this JCB owner

17.01.2022 Couple of green machines to keep me busy this last week Get to work on a much more diverse range of machinery nowadays, and loving it!!

17.01.2022 The functional parts of the 2388 which dropped its RH wheel are all but done, with a reinforced 2nd hand axle installed, grain bin repaired and a few other bits and pieces replaced. Cosmetic touches next up once parts arrive

17.01.2022 Good start to the week! JCB had an issue switching between steering modes, got that sorted in the morning then knocked another header check + quote out

17.01.2022 Air conditioning not what it used to be on your farm equipment? GTech Mechanical now offer a mobile air conditioning repair service!! Whether it be your tractor, header or truck, even the farm ute, we are ready to get you sorted with our brand new equipment that arrived just this week. Fully qualified with years of experience, Give Cam a call on 0488118633

16.01.2022 Took some hoses from a customers MX Magnum to be made up by Troy at Rapid Hydraulics & Pneumatics today. Was my first time actually visiting the store, having only dealt with them as a mobile service previously and to say I was impressed with the workshop would be an understatement! All the gear, plenty of stock and staff, and a workshop that was neat and tidy meant I was out of there in no time to get one of my customers up and running again!

16.01.2022 GTech Mechanical would like to extend our condolences to the Bird family during this tragic time. We also know that everyone who has helped out didn't do it for any sort of credit, but we would like to congratulate them on such a huge effort. The community spirit shown is a direct reflection on why I have fell in love and stayed in the Southern Riverina region, well done! -Cam & Family

16.01.2022 Few more straw bales to grow some mushrooms!!

16.01.2022 Keeping vital fuel system components as clean as possible by cleaning and vacuum sealing them (the salesman at the electrical store had to admit this was a first for him ) This means I've done everything in my power to prevent contamination whilst the rest of the engine is being rebuilt

15.01.2022 Nice job for a quiet friday, knocking up a couple of benches for the workshop These measure up at 2400 x 1200 and ive used 5mm sheet steel for the tops so theyre plenty solid enough for any big jobs. Mounted vice on one, with a corner pocket for another removeable vice or any other tools I might need in the other bench

14.01.2022 Valve lash adjustment on an Iveco Cursor as part of a major service today

14.01.2022 Beater upgrade on a "230" series Case IH combine I did recently Early flagship Case IH combines fitted with the triangular beater have a habit of flogging out the keyway, which in turn causes backlash and eventually complete loss of beater drive. Early models also had a 3-piece shaft which would snap due to machining flaws (pictured of another I have had fail previously) Lucky for this customer, their combine already had the updated solid shaft installed, so it was a matter of removing beater + shaft and having the taper locks welded in place and new larger key cut into shaft. This upgrade eliminates backlash from the shaft and lightens the beater substantially, updated bearings also installed to round out the package

13.01.2022 It's that time of year again where everyone starts cranking up the A/C If your A/C isn't quite up to the task, get in touch and get it sorted before things get heated during harvest

13.01.2022 It's been nice and busy for GTech the last few weeks in the lead-up to and during sowing But today it was time to look after a couple of irrigator motors..... I diagnosed a leaking turbo last week and got out to fit her all up today. After fitment, the tappets were adjusted on this motor as well as a check-up and tappets adjusted on another motor on the property, good to go!

13.01.2022 With sowing finally out of the way, pre-season repairs are underway for 2020

13.01.2022 Another couple of headers on the books today! Interested in a pre-season check and service??? No header too old No header too new... Call Cam: 0488118633 See more

13.01.2022 Another JD getting ready to head north

13.01.2022 When the mistakes have been made and the loader tries to detach itself from the tractor, that's when the REAL fun starts

11.01.2022 Getting a few jobs tidied up while the headers are pulled up. Plenty of sunshine out here in the big blue shed there's no doubt about that

10.01.2022 Happy New Years everyone, hopefully another promising season is just on the horizon

10.01.2022 Well it isn't fully finished (probably never will be!) but due to the need for a bit more tool space with harvest kicking off I've got the trailer on the road at last

10.01.2022 New rotor belt needs all the help it can get when it's chewing through a high yielding wheat crop!

09.01.2022 Half a dozen fault codes diagnosed and rectified later and the customer is back spraying Good game CVX

09.01.2022 Making good progress on a JD9770 in the workshop this week. Not exactly my "specialty" but its all nuts, bolts, chains & belts, so it's fair game

09.01.2022 Turns out the apprentice had a big day as well, couple of tractor jobs on the go!

08.01.2022 Water pump failure and a hydraulic leak on an MX magnum today, then its off to leak check an a/c and vac down + gas up!

07.01.2022 Bit of work to a Macdon R116 today, getting her one step closer to mowing down some crops

06.01.2022 This week the first pre-season for the 2021 program had its finishing touches added, wrapped up nice and early, ready to tackle a big corn crop Using a mix of genuine and aftermarket parts ensures optimum quality control, whilst at the same time providing the best value I can for my clients investment

06.01.2022 When it rains, tractors stop and mechanics start

04.01.2022 View from the office window, 2 headers back in action

03.01.2022 Good thing these pumps are nice and light Sleeve and seal of the input shaft should do the trick for this M155

03.01.2022 Getting a few maintenance items ticked off on a JD SP sprayer today

03.01.2022 Gave a customer a hand with simplifying his baling inoculation by mounting a limit switch in the propulsion handle to automatically shut the pump off when tractor is pulled to a stop. One less thing to worry about means the process is more stream-lined, with less mistakes

01.01.2022 Busy dismantling and inspecting an old 2388 which snapped a front axle and dropped a wheel into the elevators on right hand side. perfect rainy day hiding in a shed

01.01.2022 Last job before a week off on this 340 Magnum with a shot A/C compressor clutch. Customer sourced a complete replacement unit which we fitted and gassed up to get him back into ripping Time to hit the coast with the family for some much needed R&R

01.01.2022 Never a good feeling, and even worse when a radiator for this model machine is nil stock in Australia, even aftermarket That's where Murray Mallee Machinery comes in. A late night Facebook message resulted in a call back 15 minutes later confirming they had a good radiator ready to come out of a machine, the next day we had the machine running with a new upgraded fan and belt to get rid of the original weak fan design Can't recommend these guys enough, great to deal with and hard workers who understand the pressures and urgency of farming especially at harvest

01.01.2022 Started the week off right getting this M155 tidied up for a big windrowing season
