25.01.2022 Another satisfied customer. "Brian was prompt to come around and provide us with a very competitive quote. When we had the authorisation to go ahead he made himself available that week and carried out the work in a competent and professional manner. He went the extra mile. I would 110% recommend Brian to anyone who asks and would definitely get him back again should the need arise. Thanks a lot Brian!" Lisa from Yokine, WA Aug 22nd, 2014

22.01.2022 Here is an example of some of the stunning workmanship being undertaken by the NBN Co. This is a customer of ours in Como WA, the grey box is the NBN Utility Box, the white conduit below contains the Fibre Optic Cable from the street & the white conduit above takes the cable into the house. Not only is the top conduit no where near to being vertical but the top of it was left open (we sealed it with silicon) for water & creepy crawlies to get in. This is towards the back of... the house which is an extension off the original house with no common external walls or roof. The home office is at the front of the house meaning we had the get a Cat6 cable from here to the front of the house. It required lots of conduit work to get into the roof of the original house then several visits into the roof space to get the Cat6 into the office area. After our initial consultation to access what the customer needed, It took one installer the better part of a day to complete the job. These are the very real costs to the consumer regarding the NBN that don't get a mention on the nightly news or debated in Parliament. If the NBN Co. had brought the fibre into the front of the house, we would not of had to be there at all.

21.01.2022 Was pretty happy with this feed back by Alex from Meercat when we helped them out the other day. He found us on http://www.serviceseeking.com.au "Brian is a legend. He takes ownership of your problem the minute he turns up and won't let it go until its solved. I will recommend him and use him whenever the opportunity arises. Thanks Brian." Alex from North Perth, WA Posted: 01 Aug 201

20.01.2022 We done a little job yesterday for the guys who invented & market this neat little device, if you cycle or have friends or family who do, this maybe worth investing in. http://cycliq.com.au/

18.01.2022 Recent MDF upgrade in Port Kennedy. Some very poor workmanship over the years & quick fixes when doing faults had created a mess of potential fault situations. By the time we finished everything was easier to follow (for Techs anyway) & potential faults have been fixed before they could occur.

18.01.2022 Article in The Weekend West newspaper Saturday 8th April 2017. Who would of thought that the Telcos might be lying to us?

17.01.2022 We done a small cabling job in North Fremantle last year (2016), about a month or so later we were contacted to be told that 2 of the 3 data network outlets were not working. The picture shows what we found when we took the face plate off at the server end. The light grey cables coming out of the wall are ours, the blue, black & white cables coming out of the bottom of the middle mounting block were run after our cables by whoever installed the CCTV on site. They had disco...nnected one of our cables to use as a draw cable to get their cables down inside the wall cavity then did not/could not re-terminate our cable. The small red circle highlights a loose wire that was the reason for the 2nd failure. We test ALL our work before we put an ID label on it & we do this BEFORE we leave the site. Unfortunately sometimes another "tradesman/technician" comes along with their blinkers on, only caring about what they have to do & don't give a stuff about anything or anybody else. We fixed this but it was not done for free.

16.01.2022 Are the people doing your telecommunications cabling Registered to do so? Even Electricians are required to be Registered by a ACMA (Australian Communication and Media Authority) Registrar. If your chosen Cabler is Registered they should be able to show you their registration card.... Small domestic work requires a Restricted Registration. Lager & commercial work requires an Open Registration. If you require Structured Network cabling (i.e. Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6A) or Fibre Optic cabling, the cabler must have the appropriate Competencies on their Registration card. F is Fibre Optic & S is Structured. Unregistered cablers risk substantial fines & rob trained Registered Cablers of work. DON'T USE AN UNREGISTERED CABLER. The following links are to the 5 ACMA Registrars. You can search if you cabler is Registered through these websites. http://www.acrs.com.au/ http://www.asial.com.au/ http://www.brca.com.au/ http://www.fpaa.com.au/ My registration is with this one # F0413694 http://www.citt.com.au/

13.01.2022 Here is an example of some of the things we are asked to sort out. It isn't hard to see that this has been done by people with no training & little background in telecommunications.

13.01.2022 Thanks Sarah, very kind of you to say, 2nd best is probably more accurate, although I have never heard who the best is. Did a job for a guy this morning who had walked past your house & seen my Ute on Monday, so the sign-writing must work after all (ha ha).

12.01.2022 If you are after a new computer or need work done on your old one, go see the guys at Navada Computer Services in Greenwood. Tell them Greenwood Telephones sent you. They probably won't give you a discount but they will think we are great for referring you.

10.01.2022 We would like to advise our valued customers, their family & friends (anybody that will listen really) that if you are looking for a new mobile phone provider that you avoid Dodo Mobile at all costs, their customer service from a technical point of view is 2nd to none in how bad it is. We have moved our mobiles to them & so far it has been a lesson in frustration & a reminder of just how bad the Telecommunication industry is from a customers point of view. We hope that Dodo's... customer service (Ha, that's a joke) has not been destroyed by the massive hurricane that is hitting the Philippines. Avoid Dodo Mobile!

10.01.2022 Telstra, Telstra, Telstra, why do you treat your customers with such contempt? Have you got a story of how your service provider has let you down? We could fill a couple of books with stories from our customers. Tell us your story.

09.01.2022 Watch out for this.

07.01.2022 Your Existing PBX (Telephone System) & the NBN. We are continuing to get feedback from our customers & suppliers that businesses are being told that they need to replace their existing PBX with a new NBN Compatible PBX. While there are a great many NBN Ready PBXs, including systems that we can supply & install, there is no need to replace your existing Legacy PBX. Legacy is the term the industry now uses to refer to PBXs that operate in a traditional telephony way as oppose...d to IP (Internet Protocol) PBXs. Depending on the age & brand of your PBX it may be possible to install an additional card so that it can become NBN compatible to connect directly to your NBN Modem & use SIP Trunks. SIP Trunks are what your existing or new phone numbers will work on when they are changed from PSTN lines using the existing copper network. If it is not possible to install the card or part needed to be NBN compatible, there are a number of options that allow you to keep you existing PBX by installing an adapter between the NBN & your PBX. You do not need to replace your existing PBX/telephone system at great expense. Please call us if you are unsure before you spend thousands of $$$ unnecessarily.

07.01.2022 We are pleased to offer our valued customers & our new customers a faster ADSL testing service. Are you having trouble with slow internet speeds compared to what you used to get? Does your service provider tell you that everything is fine at their end & it must be the cabling inside your house or business?... We can quickly test your ADSL download & upload speeds inside your property & at the point of entry (where your service provider's responsibility ends) & accurately compare the results. If we find that there is nothing wrong with your internal cabling, we can give you the ammunition you need to get your service provider to fix the problem. If there is a problem with the internal cabling, we can fix it for you.

07.01.2022 Just sent this email to the Water Corporation. Dear Water Corporation, Yesterday I reported a faulty water meter tap that while appearing to turn all the way off, did not turn the water supply off. I reported this at about 2.30 pm on your 131375 service. Firstly the wait time was only a minute or two before I was talking to a gentleman with a very convincing Australian accent, I told him the problem & he said that somebody would be out in the next couple of days to effect rep...airs. I told him it was not urgent, there was no hurry & it was more of a minor inconvenience rather than an emergency. I arrived home about 1.30pm or so today to find a docket from Crew No S259 for Work order No JA2622544 stating the task was completed, which upon inspection appears to be so. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all involved for a job well done, it is much appreciated. the entire process from making the call reporting the problem to it being fixed, has been carried out with service that I thought did not exist anywhere anymore (apart from my own very small telecommunications company), there are many, many service providers within my own industry who could learn about 'service' from the Water Corporation & it's staff. Kind Regards Brian, Greenwood Telephones, Home & Office.

06.01.2022 Back in June we had a referral customer who asked us to come to their office to locate a IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) that several other companies had failed to find. We located it behind a built in kitchen cabinet that held the microwave oven. A bit of work with a electric jigsaw & all was revealed. While the customers email below is short it is to the point, thanks Dean from Campari. Thanks Brian, you have managed to do what so many have not been able to, much ap...preciated. I have forwarded your invoice to Darren to follow through with the payment aspect. Regards Dean Arndt Key Account Manager WA Campari Australia Pty Ltd

06.01.2022 Recent MDF upgrade in Balcatta before upgrade. During upgrade. And after upgrade.

05.01.2022 If you have a Burglar Alarm or a Elevator Emergency Telephone, these will not work on the NBN & you will need to replace the existing telephone line with a GSM Gateway (this works on a cellular mobile phone network), we can supply GSM Gateways all you need is a SIM card on the mobile phone network you want to use. Lift phones are a legal requirement.
