24.01.2022 So, we have a question for all the stay at home parents...what type of fridge magnet would you get the most use out of. We ask because we are in the process of ordering a heap of them and we want to make sure that we get something that you can actually get some use out of. We are tossing up between a to-do list style with a whiteboard, a magnet with some home plumbing tips, or a magnet with some expiration times for frozen foods, but realistically we are totally open to suggestions, so please, feel free to comment

23.01.2022 Unfortunately, some GRUB has decided that they need our tools and equipment more than we do. Taken from Maryborough over the Easter weekend, various hand tools, but also these. A Flir Thermal Imaging camera and a Rigid CCTV drain inspection camera. Both quite expensive items that really have no other use besides what a plumber would use them for. Reward offered for any information leading to their return.

19.01.2022 So, we are assuming that most of you saw this story about lead contamination in our drinking water, scary stuff isn't it But if you have water filters you are safe, right??? Wrong!! Standard filters do not remove any lead from the water supply whatsoever!! The dripping is relieving the pressure of the water expanding while it is heating. Check out this video of what can happen to an incorrectly working water heater...Yes, it is the Mythbusters and Yes they take things to the extreme, but you get the idea! 02.01.2022 PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT!! Did you know that you are in control of how long your hot water system lasts? Here is a picture of three different ‘Sacraficial Anodes’ at varying stages of deterioration. They are essentially a rod that goes in the hot water system and they are designed to sacrifice themselves to the water before your hot water system cylinder rusts. ... They need to be checked every 3 years and replaced when needed to extend the life of your hot water system. The one on the right is brand new, the middle is 2 years and the left is four years old.
