18.01.2022 Police are investigating a cabin located at Shady Rest Caravan Park which was gutted by a fire on Saturday night, 25th Feb. Earlier that night another Caravan was broken into and had a Microwave and Television stolen before the fire. A Pittsworth Security guard raised the alarm around 1am in the morning on Sunday morning, 26th Feb. Fearing the worst the guard attempted entry but was already well involved and the heat too intense. Local fire brigade arrived and ambulance... officers, extinguished the blaze but unfortunately the cabin was completely destroyed by the fire. Forensic officers from Toowoomba attended and investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information are asked to contact Crime stoppers or the Pittsworth Police station. See more
