24.01.2022 We have been through one hell of a year. We want to refocus and work harder than ever for Manzanares, Colombia. Colombia is being hit by Covid much harder than here in Australia and we want to help. Fundraising to help the disabled and less fortunate in our favourite little town of Manzanares. $20 dollars helps to feed those less fortunate for a whole month. We will now pledge $5 from every bag of Ramiro Burmudez Colombian sold. We will do what we can for the town and this initiative until we get back there to do much more.

We also love that our customers have adopted the use of our reusable coffee tins. These tins are re used week after week, saving thousands of plastic bags from landfill. The current Seasonal Blend has been a favourite - Brazil Natural - Yellow Bourbon El Salvador Supersonic Natural - Bourbon / Pacas... 06.01.2022 Our Colombian coffee from Ramiro Bermudez at Finca el Encanto is more than just coffee. It’s proof that coffee with a conscious is possible. From the small town of Manzanares we took a coffee from a producer who had given up on the industry and now have a high quality product and a passionate producer striving for excellence. To us it’s exactly what we are about. Making sure that all members of the supply chain are benefiting and the consumer is getting a premium product. We look forward to receiving our 2nd harvest from Ramiro in 2021 which will be 4 times bigger than the first.

05.01.2022 Harvest this year at Finca el Encanto is in full swing. This year we are more concerned about health of all staff than quality. To even have a harvest in 2020 is the best thing we can hope for. Colombia has been hit hard by COVID-19 but precautions are in place and the town of Manzanares is in strict border lockdown. We changed up what we are doing with the Bermudez family this year and are paying 2.5x what we paid last year for the same quality. We have also been able to pa...y for half up front to help them prepare the farm for harvest. It’s with the help of our customers who have supported this project and the main one of those being Stephen Matthews and the Sage Education and Childcare centres in Canberra who use this coffee in all their centres. 05.01.2022 Very excited to be working on this new project with the Foundation Esparza Monforte. They work on the ground with the disabled and homeless in Manzanares, Colombia. $5 from the sale of every bag of Ramiro Bermudez Colombian will go right back into the town it is harvested from. Covid may be keeping us from getting back but not from making an impact on the ground.
