22.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, The GUGC Badminton Club is excited to announce that we will be hosting a social Mixed Doubles tournament this Sunday the 25th of October from 4:30-6:30pm at Southport State High School during our social session. ALL are welcome! Men and women will be paired randomly and battle it out in a single set round robin followed by three sets of knockout games (QF, SF, GF) for qualifying teams. The top 3 teams will be awarded a prize each!... For this special event, we will be hosting this session for ALL MEMBERS (students and non-students) for ONLY $5. (Non-members can sign up on the day.) Social sessions will continue as normal in the second half of the session at no extra cost. (Please note that if you do not wish to participate in the tournament, there will be limited opportunity to play on the courts in the first hour as per our usual sessions.) Please register your attendance at the following link BEFORE Friday 5pm: https://forms.gle/FHULNUUHwGdYvkPk9 . Places are capped. Please advise the Club if you are no longer able to attend as draws will be drafted on Saturday. As is the trend of 2020, do not attend if you have flu-like symptoms or are required to isolate as per COVID-19 guidelines. Don’t forget to join us afterwards for our End-of-Year Celebrations!
