Our friends at PETstock have hit their target to help us raise $50,000 $50,000 will allow us to raise one Guide Dog to change someone's life and we're so grateful to PETstock, our partners, and to everyone who supported the campaign thank you! 19.01.2022 Did you catch the 9 News Adelaide segment about Facility Dog Iris? Iris has been placed as a Facility Dog at Wirreanda Secondary School to support WAVE (Wirreanda Adaptive Vocational Education), an alternative pathways program. Iris’s accreditation differs from that of a Therapy Dog because she and her handlers have passed their Public Access Certification, giving her legal access rights to work at the school alongside students.... Iris has been specially trained by our team to perform specific tasks to provide emotional support, encourage learning, and help students with their social and physical wellbeing. While Iris is the first Facility Dog placed in a Secondary School here in SA, you may remember our Facility Dog Apollo who began a similar journey with Kidman Park Primary School in 2019. We’re very proud of both of these placements. Iris and Apollo are making a life-changing difference for the students and educators they work with.
