24.01.2022 We have a good news story to share! Stacey, our Lending Manager recently completed an annual lending review for an existing client. She approached the client's lender as their advocate and was able to negotiate a lower interest rate on their facility which will save them approximately $3,459 per annum. This was unprompted and the client was pleasantly surprised when we sent through the email letting them know that we’ve had their interest rates reduced by .80%.

14.01.2022 Staying loyal to your bank could cost you thousands of dollars, according to the new Reserve Bank of Australia data. At the end of August, there was a gap of 0.29 percentage points between existing variable owner-occupier mortgages and new ones. Existing owner-occupiers were being charged an average of 3.21%, while new borrowers were being charged 2.92%.... There are two ways you can avoid paying this 'loyalty tax': 1. Negotiate a rate cut with your existing lender 2. Refinance to a new lender with a lower-rate loan If you do refinance, make sure the loan you're switching to doesn't revert to a higher interest rate at a later date. Banks compete hard for new customers, but sometimes take existing borrowers for granted, so the longer you stay with one lender, the more likely it is your loan is uncompetitive. If you’ve got a steady income and you’ve built up equity in your home, you could potentially refinance to a loan with a lower interest rate and lower fees. Talk to us about finding a better home loan rate today!

05.01.2022 Just something to think about. Digital marketing is where all businesses are focusing their efforts. Plus there is a lot of social WOM (Word Of Mouth) out there influencing our spending. Just like a fitness regime, a budget only works if you stick to it!

03.01.2022 Recently we celebrated Kelly's birthday in the office and Toni made her a superb Caramilk Cheesecake. Here's the recipe if you want to try it at home! Base Ingredients: Full packet of Arnott’s Butternut Snap Biscuits cup of butter, melted [a little bit more butter if you want it sticking together better]... Method Blitz biscuits in food processer until fine. Add melted butter and stir. Push into base of spring form pan and set aside in fridge to cool. Top Ingredients 2 x Philly Cream Cheese at room temp cup of caster sugar or white sugar 50ml water 3 teaspoons of gelatine cup of cream Block of Caramilk chocolate - melted [more or less depending on your own taste] Method Blitz up philly cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. In another bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. For the gelatine mixture, in a heatproof dish/ramekin, add water and gelatine and then mix. Place ramekin in a saucepan of bowling water so that the gelatine can melt. Set aside to cool for a bit. Should be smooth with no lumps [if lumpy, remove them before adding] Add the gelatine mixture to philly mixture and stir. Then stir in cream and mars bars. Add to the base. Set aside for at least 4-5 hours in the fridge before serving so gelatine can set. Drizzle with more melted caramilk choc if you want it super sweet

02.01.2022 Oh dear...we hope this isn't you? Having a good relationship with your financial planner can help you do 3 things: 1. Develop an end Superannuation Goal (what you want to retire on) 2. Develop a superannuation investment plan to achieve that goal (how you can top up and what type of investment strategy to go with) 3. How to manage it through the ups and downs of economic volatility to ensure it stays on track - and save fees.
