24.01.2022 It can be easy to get swept up in the chaos of the festive season, but these holidays, try to remember the importance of rest and relaxation. There is plenty of research to back up what many of us already suspected: holidays make us happy! A study in the Netherlands found that the simple act of planning for a holiday led to a considerable boost in happiness - and that joy lasted for eight weeks. I imagine that those lingering effects would be enjoyed before, during, and after the break. Periodic holiday breaks from the daily work grind are essential to rejuvenate our body, mind and spirit.
