05.01.2022 Even as a sleep coach, I sometimes have a visitor through the night. One that sleeps across the bed, no covers, feet in the face - the usual deal when a toddler is in your bed! It doesn't happen often and sometimes those cuddles are too cute to resist! Just as I was building up the mental strength (and muscle power) to carry my husky 3yo back to bed, she wraps her arms around her father and whispers with the cutest voice "I love you Dadda". After my heart melted a little, I e...asily gave up on the idea of taking her back to bed and let her enjoy her snuggle with 'dadda'. The snuggle was short lived and both of us had a terrible night sleep while the little space invader slept like an angel! As parents, we all have nights where we are too exhausted to have the battle. Life is busy, so much is happening and it can be so much easier to leave them in our bed where they are sleeping peacefully. Before you know it, one night turns in to two, then three and so on. I know that tonight, I will more than likely have another visitor, who will be taken back to her bed - and she will not be pleased...
