24.01.2022 I haven’t been super active on here the past few months and it’s mostly because Bluu Media House has been super duper busy and I’ve been focusing on growing the business and giving it as much love as possible. If you follow my stories, you probably know that I’m awake at 4 am every morning 7 days a week, and work until I pass out. At this stage, I'll have to force myself to take a day off for Christmas... Grateful to be able to work and do what I love every day while exactly 4 years ago, i was giving my resignation from my 9 to 5 as an engineer leaving a leading multinational aeronautical company to pursue my dreams and starting from scratch. : Nelfelife & @hayden.rly

21.01.2022 About 3 years ago, I walked in a yoga studio and asked Emma if she would come on a date with me. As you guessed, she said no... Weeks later (well months later actually...), and many more nos to my face, she finally gave me a chance, and we went for a surf. Surprisingly, she really liked me after that first date (definitely not because of my surf skills, I think I didn’t catch one wave at all). To the most incredible woman I know and very soon baby mama, I love you, happy Valentine’s Day

I’ve never been this excited in my life, dreaming already of everything I’m want to share with him and be there while he discovers our planet. I totally forgot that day as I usually set my camera to focus w shutter when in the housing as it’s really hard to press 2 buttons at the same time. 17.01.2022 Last year was kinda crazy work wise. If I wasn’t filming on set, I’d spent most of my time in front of the computer from 5am and this 14h every single day. I’m in no way complaining as I love my job. But I found out that creativity (and actual mental health) is largely improved when I spend time away from the screen. I love being outdoor as well and it was definitely pretty unbalanced. For 2020 it’s one of my goals to spend more time outside playing with the elements. 10.01.2022 Late arvo surf. Rainbow bay at its finest. Dayum I love this place! In line with the post about creativity and productivity I did yesterday on Instagram. Started doing 90min hyper focused work, phone off, headphones on, 20 min breaks in between throughout the day with at least 60-90min exercises at some point. The 90 min hyper focused sessions actually works so well, but I must admit today, I might have extended the outdoor exercice part by quite a bit with a few skydives in the morning and a sunset surf

09.01.2022 Sunrise surfs are my new favorite thing! Waking up at 4:30am this week to have enough time to deal with emails and some other work-related stuff and then checking the waves on the webcams as soon as there is enough light and running to the beach before the sun appears. Believe me, it’s really easy to wake up that early when the conditions are that nice! I have as much fun being on the board as being in the water with my housing. 08.01.2022 No comparable feeling than hanging at the door of an airplane at 14000ft. I’ve spent a lot of time in the sky the past few days and the more I do it, the more I want to do it. More than just the adrenaline, it’s the learning/progression that actually excites me today. Being able to play with the physics, adjust, improve, is just so satisfying. If you asked me 5 years ago if I would jump of a plane, I would have answered you’re crazy, I’m scared of heights. But the year I decided to fight my fears and do my training is the same year I decided to quit my engineering 9-5 job and take control of my life for real, and I truly believe this is not a coincidence, those things are definitely related : @chrisjmain

06.01.2022 Insta360 reached out to me and asked if I wanted to test out their One R action camera while giving me full creative freedom. You bet I said yes! What better way to test it out than taking it to 14 000ft for my very first flight in brand new wingsuit I still have many things to learn about this camera but I’m pretty stoked with the result. I’ll keep testing it my own way and if you guys are keen I might even do a full on review on YouTube?! 05.01.2022 [LINK AT THE BOTTOM FOR THE FULL TUTORIAL ] After many requests, I finally took the time to make a tutorial about editing videos from a Fusion or a Max (I haven’t used other 360 camera but I’m sure it works with other cameras too). And since I really care about producing good content, I took some extra time to make sure this tutorial would give you as much value as possible. I actually learnt a lot from making this video. This one is for Final Cut Pro X and Motion if you wa...nt to push it a bit further. What’s funny is that I hadn’t used Motion in years when they removed the dynamic link with Fcpx but I felt obliged to get into it for this tutorial as I was so frustrated with fcpx keyframing (that's the only time you’ll hear me complain about fcpx adobe fan boys). 05.01.2022 When having no plan turns out to be the best plan! Luke got this shot of me after a full day of jumping. As we were going up, we could see some big dark clouds building over the horizon. It was beautiful but we were not sure we’d have enough time before the sun would hide behind them and make everything dark. On top of that, our gopro batteries were nearly flat, meaning we’d have to start recording at the very last second and hope the cold (-10C up there) wouldn’t kill the cameras immediately. We reached 14000ft and this moment was priceless, the golden light illuminating the whole inside of the aircraft, huge smile on the pilot’s face, then Lukey’s super stoked at the door! 04.01.2022 Nothing better than a few days away from the routine, spending time outdoor with the little family. Nature is so inspiring, I feel like I just need to have a camera in my hand and then the creativity kicks in. I believe those are Bottlenose dolphins. We first spotted a hug mob of them down the cliff as they were hunting small fish in the waves (I might share some of the shots on here but I didn’t have my telelens and they were quite far) clarity was unreal and we could see straight through the waves.
