20.01.2022 My TOP 10 Guitar Lessons from 2020! - https://mailchi.mp/guitarforbeginners/jz2rf9sn3u Happy New Year to all and I hope 2021 will be your best year yet! -- or at the very least a lot better than 2020! ... and what's the best way to make it your best year yet? Well, getting your guitar out and starting to play it of course! With this in mind, here are my TOP 10 lessons from 2020...

20.01.2022 Love Has No Pride - A New Fingerstyle Lesson. - https://mailchi.mp/guitarforbeginners/love-has-no-pride I love a sad waltz and this one takes the gold medal, I reckon: Written by Libby Titus and Eric Kaz, it's a classic. Have a listen to the great Bonnie Raitt do a sublime version with Graham Nash and Dave Crosby on backing vocals here. I did this lesson in the key of G, as usual, in standard tuning. It stays pretty much in key. There's nothing too difficult going on, just a bit of practice and you'll get this one happening.

16.01.2022 What the Funk! - A New Slide Guitar Lesson. - https://mailchi.mp/guitarforbeginners/what-the-funk This is not for the fainthearted, but it sure is fun to play once you get the moves down. There is a whole lot going on and I do my best to explain it all at the lesson page.

11.01.2022 Imagine - A New Fingerstyle Lesson. - https://mailchi.mp/881c9403ca35/imagine-681678 magine ... Imagine music today without the input of the Beatles. Imagine all the wonderful songs that John Lennon would have written and would still be writing today if he was alive. Here is my fingerstyle rendition of John's 'Imagine', such a simple, evocative, beautiful song. I hope you like it, order it and learn it.

03.01.2022 Dixie - A Fingerstyle Guitar Lesson. - https://mailchi.mp/guitarforbeginners/dixie_guitar-lesson Disclaimer! I'm an Australian/Canadian citizen and this piece of music is just that to me: a very nice piece of music. I put this together quite a few years ago, long before the current discourse in the US about flags, statues and all the rest of it. I had no idea at time that this tune was in any way controversial. It's been hidden away on my site for a long time and I have held off alerting you to it...
