13.01.2022 Let me introduce Carl Orr. Way back when, Carl taught guitar for Steve in his shop at Liverpool Street, Sydney CBD. They became great friends! Since we have been travelling to the UK, we visit Carl and Jane and they have generously invited us to stay in their home a number of times. Carl is a consummate musician and his albums reflect his amazing talent and ability. He has/had a residency at Ronnie Scott’s in London for a number of years doing the late show. We also have had the opportunity to work on some of his guitars whilst visiting. Please go and have a listen to his music and purchase some of his albums. They truly are stunning!

It is an Art & Lutherie Cedar Acoustic guitar with Godin Q1T built in electronics. It is a solid cedar top with wild cherry back and sides. It has no scratches or dings on any part of it! Steve has set it up with Elixir 12-53 P/Bronze strings with a 5&4 super comfortable action. Great stage and acoustic guitar. It is in near mint condition and it ...was made in 2007. Steve describes the tone as rich with warm bottoms, buttery mids, sweet tops , excellent string separation. Nice and tight when strummed. Lovely balance and very open when finger picked. 07.01.2022 So I haven’t used my zoom H2 for about 7 years. I found it at work this week in the back of my filing cabinet. I thought it was great proof of what Steve has been banging on about for years! Duracell will destroy your preamp if it bleeds into the preamp housing! Energizer batteries have a much thicker casing so the likelihood of acid bleeding into your preamp is non existent. Steve has never had an Energizer battery bleed! So go change your battery now!!!! 04.01.2022 This is the same finger board on a Maton acoustic that had had no service for 13 years. The finger jam was set hard and I had to scrape it back twice before it came clean. Takamine Ltd Edition PSF-95 Santa Fe 1995 , Parlor size New Yorker Solid Cedar top. It has ovangkol back and sides and unbleached bone nut ...and saddle and 16:1 Takamine/Gotoh fine tuners. Action is 5 & 4,with fresh Elixir nano web p/bronze light strings. Setting sun inlays in neck. Santa Fe inlay design around the sound hole. Comes in its original SKB flight case. The original cost of this guitar was over $3000! Our guitar is up for $1495. The preamp has been upgraded to an AD-1 DSP.
