20.01.2022 In November 2015 The Blues Preachers shot a film clip for their award winning song ‘The Free Train Agreement’ with filmmaker Sam Brumby at Train Works Rail Muse...um in Thirlmere NSW. Daniel who manages the museum was moved enough by the song to allow The Blues Preachers the use of a fully functioning and journeying steam train and crew. It was an amazing experience and we are grateful to Daniel and all the staff at Train Works Rail Museum for their help and for a fabulous day out! The Free Train Agreement is a song about people from various cultural backgrounds on a train enjoying and celebrating each other’s humanity. It embodies the great christian principles of forgiveness and tolerance. ‘The Free Train Agreement’ is from the Blues Preachers album ‘Dead Catz Can Bounce’ which contains songs about the big issues of today; the global financial crisis, greed, relationships, global warming, materialism, life and death and the search for truth and meaning in the great age of misinformation. Without all the volunteers from the various cultural backgrounds who donated their time and showed much enthusiasm, our vision for the film clip would not have resulted in such an amazing celebration of positivity & joy! It is with heartfelt gratitude that we thank all the talent who participated on the day.
