25.01.2022 Take a seat in our Gulgong Gallery studio chair for the slow count of 8 to appreciate how difficult it was to pose for photographs in the 1870s. The slightest movement blurred the image. Remember to post your photos, we would love to see them. #gulgongholtermannmuseum #holtermanncollection #holtermannmuseum #mudgeeregion

24.01.2022 Re-opening after isolation has been fantastic and thank you to all those who visited our museum over the past two weeks. Visitors have been extremely mindful of our social distancing procedures. The additional protection of our finger stalls for the use of our touchscreens has proved to be a huge success. You will have to pop in to experience the touchscreens for yourself and work your way through the stunning Holtermann Collection of photographs. We are once again open daily from 10am to 3pm. #holtermannmuseum #mudgeeregion #gulgong

14.01.2022 You have to wonder what Holtermann would have come up with if he were faced with this COVID-19 pandemic? Check out his Life Preserving Drops poster. The health of our visitors, staff and management is important to us, so when visiting the Gulgong Holtermann Museum please note the importance of practising social distancing and please use the hand sanitizer on entry. Our management and volunteers have been instructed on the importance of ensuring all surfaces are wiped down throughout the day. Note too, that we have lovely new facilities to facilitate hand washing. We hope to share our Museum with you sometime soon.

12.01.2022 Bernhard Otto Holtermann’s great grandchildren, re-visited the museum today. The glass plates found in their garden shed in 1951 were donated to the State Library of NSW in 1952. They brought with them a beautiful bunch of ‘Holtermann Roses’, to celebrate our first Anniversary. (Interesting note for genealogists- this Holtermann generation chose to remove one ‘n’ off their surname; it is not a spelling error) #gulgongholtermannmuseum #holtermanncollection
