23.01.2022 Dawn Trevitt was a genuine, caring, talented woman who gave decades of her life to the students of Gulgong Public School. Mrs Trevitt was an amazing teacher -many Gulgong locals would call her their all time favourite. She had a unique way of getting the best from her students and made every single student feel capable and worthy. Dawn shared her knowledge and philosophies with many a beginning teacher and quite literally got many of us through! Dawnie (to her colleagues) and Mrs T (to the kids) will be remembered for her quick wit, her cheeky laugh, her sense of fairness and her dedication to ‘her kids’. She was and always will be a massive part of Gulgong Public School.

13.01.2022 Gulgong Community, The executive staff of Gulgong Public School have met today. We have decided to purchase new roses for the front garden of the school. We are doing this because we believe our students at Gulgong deserve the best and shouldn't miss out on anything. We will also be investing in CCTV cameras so that we can protect our school. Thank you so much to the community for your support. Thank you for those people who offered to donate roses. The school will cover the costs. To the thieves. Try again! Next time we will get you on camera.

05.01.2022 Very disappointed for our whole school community to go to work this morning to find that our new rose garden has been destroyed. Over the last 6 weeks we have been beautifying the front entrance of our school. Over the weekend someone has stolen our new rose bushes through the fence. We will not be replacing these to have them stolen again. ... To the person who stole them, we hope you enjoy them as we the staff, students and visitors of Gulgong Public School won't have the pleasure of enjoying them.
