25.01.2022 Today our students will virtually participate in the remembrance day service. We wanted to share our own grown poppies as we remember those who have fallen, have served or are now serving our country. We shall not forget.

24.01.2022 Thank you to Sally Sealey for many years of dedicated care of our School community.

24.01.2022 Wow! Check out how beautiful the gully is looking in the school. The repair to the area has really helped it drain properly and with the warmer spring weather we are seeing our garden areas really flourish.

23.01.2022 To Our Community, In these challenging times we are unable to carry out face to face tours with prospective families. Please see our virtual tour and we encourage you contact our office on 9758 1662 and discuss your needs for Prep Enrolment in 2021 with our Principal Sue. Whilst we appreciate some families are finding it difficult to make a decision we encourage you to enrol as soon as possible. Take Care Staff at Ferntree Gully North Primary School

22.01.2022 The 3/4s have been working hard throughout the week to create their very own class recipe books! They have been learning how to accurately write procedural texts, which allow them to produce yummy creations. They had a Ready Steady Cook session this week to test out their procedures. We will be sharing some of their amazing video recipes throughout the next week! From, The 3/4 Teachers

20.01.2022 Dear Parents/Carers, Thank you to everyone for your support of the school in the implementation of our return to school procedures. Social distancing and hand hygiene remain very important and we encourage you to continue to discuss this with your children. The students have made a great return to school and our arrangements are working well. Teachers are running a program that focuses on literacy, numeracy and wellbeing. So well in fact, that we will modify our entry and e...xit times from Monday 15th June. From 15.6 to the end of term, students will continue to enter the school at the current gates. All students can arrive between 8.45 and 9am. Students with a surname starting with A-M will be dismissed from their current gates at 3.20 and students with a surname starting with N-Z will be dismissed from their gate at 3.30. At this stage we need to continue our arrangements of no parents on school grounds. We are unsure of Department requirements for term 3 at this stage. Please call the office if you have any issues that we can help you with or email your class teacher directly. Again, congratulations to all on a great week for our full return. We will be returning to our regular timetable for specialists from Monday and we look forward to seeing you next week. Regards, Sue, Priscilla and Staff

20.01.2022 A message form our Welfare Officer Ange, how can we work towards Rest, Redoing and Reconnecting this time round!

19.01.2022 A quick update from Mrs Casey and her girls.

19.01.2022 Last Thursday our 2021 Prep students had their first virtual transition session. Although we were not able to see all their smiling faces in person, it was so wonderful to see them on our screens joining in with all the fun. Together we enjoyed reading ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and we created our very own caterpillars. Everyone did such a terrific job, showing great persistence when practising their fine motor skills. How cute do they look? We can’t wait for next week's transition session!

19.01.2022 Looking Forward to seeing everyone at 11am!

18.01.2022 What If instead of falling behind: this group of 2020 kids are actually ahead? What if, instead of falling behind, our kids are advanced? What if they have more empathy, they enjoy family connection, they can be more creative and entertain themselves, they love to read and express themselves in writing? What if they enjoy the simple things, like their own backyards or balconies, sitting near a window in the quiet? What if they notice the birds and the dates and different flow...ers emerge and the calming renewal of a gentle rain shower? What if our kids are the ones to learn to cook, organise their space, do their laundry and help keep a well -run home? What if they learn to stretch a dollar and live with less? What if they learn to plan shopping trips and make meals at home? What if they learn the difference between want and need? What if they learn the value of eating together as a family and finding the good in sharing the small delights of every day? What if they are the ones who place great value on our teachers and educational profes-sionals, librarians, public servants and the previously invisible essential workers like truck drivers, grocers, cashiers, healthcare workers... just to name a few who are taking care of us right now while we are sheltered in place? What if among these children a great leader emerges who had the benefit of a slower pace and simpler life to truly learn what really matters in life? See more
