25.01.2022 Some of us put in the hard yards today to help our friends at Ulmarra. Rain and roads are two of the main things that keep us busy when there are no fires.

24.01.2022 Really? Again?

23.01.2022 Lest we forget.

22.01.2022 On this day last year NSW recorded 17 concurrent Emergency Warnings. Communities in the Blue Mountains, Clarence Valley, Richmond Valley, Walcha, Armidale, Namb...ucca, Kempsey, Tenterfield, and the Mid Coast were all being impacted by fire. At 6pm 94 fires were burning across the state. While the losses on that day were significant they could have been far worse were it not for the extraordinary efforts of firefighters and community members. See more

15.01.2022 All permits suspended as of midnight tonight everyone. We need rain badly so this is necessary.

14.01.2022 An important message here from our mate Jason of Woombah Brigade. Be cautious of assuming someone else has made the call. Calling 000 should be the first thing you do, even if no one seems hurt, they could be running on adrenaline.

10.01.2022 Merry Christmas everyone from all of us!Merry Christmas everyone from all of us!

08.01.2022 G'day everyone, heads up for tomorrow.

08.01.2022 Congratulations to former NSW Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons, tonight named the NSW Australian Of The Year. On accepting the award, Shane has... paid special tribute to the volunteers who worked to protect homes and lives last fire season, and particularly those who lost their lives. See more

06.01.2022 There have been regular RART teams on standby recently at Grafton airbase and Gulmarrad members have been active in these teams. The days can be very long if nothing eventuates but these teams have the ability to respond very quickly to stop little jobs becoming big ones.

06.01.2022 There's just no stopping him! And a little birdy tells us he's been talking to the Captain about getting back on the trucks some time. Be great to have you back mate.

03.01.2022 Fantastic turnout this evening at Gulmarrad Rural Fire Brigade for presentation of Basic Fire Fighter Certificates and NSW Premiers 2019/2020 Bushfire Citations.... It was a thrill to attend one of our largest and busiest brigades and meet and catch up with so many new and established members. Big welcome to our new members and hope you find the NSWRFS a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Congratulations to all receiving the NSW Premier’s citation. Well deserved.

03.01.2022 Our good mate Peter Watt drew our attention to this coin. How cool is that!!

01.01.2022 Heads up everyone.

01.01.2022 Great post here by the BOM. One of the many curve balls that can suddenly bring everything undone.
