13.01.2022 Good evening all GTQ members, The QGSA have today recommended for affiliated groups to cancel any group meetings over the next couple of weeks, given the current Covid-19 situation in SA. Therefore, as a result, this coming Thursday's quilting day will be cancelled. I will advise further regarding the December quilting day's closer to time. 10.01.2022 RETURN TO SEWING DAYS!!! YAY!! The GTQ Committee met last Saturday 27 June to discuss "where to now" given that some of the restrictions put in place due to Covid-19 have eased. There will be a return to normal sewing days, commencing Monday 6 July with the following conditions:... Please use hand sanitiser (will be provided at the sign in book) upon entry to the Hall and throughout the day as necessary. Use the anti-bacterial wipes to wipe down the table surface you will be working on, and any other shared surface. Dont forget to do this as you pack up for the day also. Please observe the social distancing rules, one person to a table. Please do not bring food to share. If you set up extra tables and put out chairs, you will need to pack them away We would love to see you all back at sewing days, but understand that if the current restrictions make you feel uncomfortable, we understand if you feel that you would rather not attend. The Committee also discussed subs for the 2020/21 year. It was resolved to reduce the subs to $40 and they must be paid before 31 July 2020. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
