22.01.2022 Today the children really enjoyed this activity. They became very focused as they transferred the pom Poms to the different bowls. I love seeing the children so focused and learning new things :)
22.01.2022 This is such a good idea for Christmas! I was have trouble getting the children to keep the decorations on the tree. Then I figured out all they wanted to do was take them off and put them back on. So I gave them a basket to put them in, now if the decorations aren't on the tree they are in the basket. No more decorations all over the floor. :)
19.01.2022 Today we rescued a blue tongue lizard from inside. We took him to the park and set him free.

16.01.2022 We have been very busy in the garden this week. The children have been checking on our seeds ever day to see if they have sprouted.
15.01.2022 What is Montessori? "The Montessori approach to education, inspires children towards a lifelong love of learning, by following their natural developmental trajectory. Children become confident, responsible, independent learners, who trust in their own abilities. The inclusivity and positive social development facilitated by the Montessori programme forms the basis for a persistent attachment to learning and knowledge." - Montessori Australia
14.01.2022 Great if you want to set up a little Montessori area at home. :)
13.01.2022 What does Montessori mean to me? Montessori for me is all about helping the children develop independence and confidence in what they do. To help them learn at their own pace and support them as they learn about things that interest them. I am passionate about supporting each child and learning alongside them. I love having an interesting yet simple environment so the children can expand their creativity and learning in their own way. And most of all, the thing I love the most about the Montessori philosophy is the fact that children are treated like little humans. They are capable of achieving great things!
12.01.2022 Hello all! I have now been located on the Gold Coast for the last few months. Unfortunately my living situation is unsuitable to run a Family Day Care. However if you or any one you know is looking for evening or occasionally weekend babysitting please contact me :) Please message for details :)
12.01.2022 Let the creativity of a child flow like a river.
11.01.2022 Today we went on bug hunt. The children loved looking around in the grass and examining the insects we caught.
08.01.2022 Get to know me Hi, my name is Kelsey. I have a Husband, Stewart; and a little boy, Parker. I have been working with children in a Montessori environment for almost 8 years now. I have my Diploma in Early Childhood education and a Cert III in Montessori education. I enjoy being surrounded by family, cooking, spending time in nature.... I am very excited to be opening my doors once again and start my family daycare. I am very passionate about providing quality care, and nurturing little minds to help them learn and grow. I am looking forward to getting to know and building bonds with the families that are in my care. See more
08.01.2022 Of all things love is the most potent.-Maria Montessori This is such a beautiful example of a child helping and guiding one of the younger children in the environment. I love to stand back and watch as the children help eachother and learn new things as they watch their peers work. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the constant growth of the children and the sense of community.
08.01.2022 When dealing with children there is greater need for observing than of probing - Maria Montessori
