We do not use chemicals to make our soup jelly-like. 19.01.2022 Our opening date has been rescheduled from 22/Aug to 31/Aug due to delay of the renovation of whole food court. Thanks for your cooperation. Gumsharas new ramen bowl is Arita ware (Aritayaki). All the bowls are specially hand made (without using any machinery) for Gumshara in a pottery factory called Hirakawa which is located in the city of Arita in the Saga prefecture. Arita ware has a history dating back to 400 years and is a type of porcelain representing Japan w...hich is coloured and created with colourful paints. Japans history of the production of ceramics dates back to the Edo period which began in the city of Arita in the Saga prefecture when a potter discovered a stone in the early 17th century. Thus, making it the first production area where porcelain was baked in Japan. Japan still continues to craft products including tableware, traditional artefacts and antiques. To note, our Gumshara bowls may appear a little smaller than our previous bowls, however, we can ensure that the amount of soup and noodles are exactly the same as before. Gumshara is the only shop in Australia using Aritayaki for ramen bowl. See more

Our whole menu will change from the 22nd of August due to COVID-19. ... We will need to introduce a self service system for ramen toppings in order to reduce the cost of labour and to improve efficiency to adapt and survive this pandemic. We will service you a plain Tonkotsu ramen (with just noodle and soup) and you will get to choose your own toppings such as a pork sparerib or BBQ pork from our self service counter and place those on your ramen by yourself.
