14.01.2022 UPDATE ON ROAD CLOSURES DUE TO BUSHFIRES AT 9:30PM - check www.livetraffic.com for the latest information. The Hume Highway is closed in both directions between... Tarcutta and Coolac due to a bushfire. Avoid the area and delay non-essential travel in bushfire-affected areas. If you're already on the Hume Highway, you can divert around the closure using the Sturt Highway between Tarcutta and Wagga Wagga, the Olympic Highway between Wagga Wagga and Cootamundra via Junee, and Muttama Road between Cootamundra and Coolac. Meanwhile, the Snowy Mountains Highway remains closed between the Hume Highway at Mount Adrah and Adelong. * The highway is also closed between Talbingo and Kosciuszko Road at Coolringdon near Cooma. * Grahamstown Road and Adelong Road are also closed between the Hume Highway at Tumblong and Adelong. Many other roads remain closed including: In the Snowy Mountains: * Wondalga to Rosewood Wondalga Road is closed * Tumbarumba to Batlow - Batlow Road is closed * All roads in the Kosciuszko National Park are closed including: - Jindabyne to Khancoban Alpine Way - Jindabyne to Charlotte Pass Kosciuszko Road - Paddys River to Khancoban Swampy Plains Creek Road/Tooma Road/Snow Ridge Road/Goat Ridge Road/Elliott Way Near Holbrook: * Jingellic Road is closed between Holbrook, Jingellic and Mannus Around Braidwood: * Braidwood to North Batemans Bay - the Kings Highway is closed * Braidwood to Moruya - Araluen Road is closed * Braidwood to Cooma - Cooma Road is closed The Princes Highway remains closed between Wonboyn Road at Narrabarba and the Victorian border, along with other roads across the New South Wales-Victorian border. South of Nowra: * Jerrawangala to Tomerong - Turpentine Road is closed * Nowra Hill to Charleyong - Braidwood Road/Nerriga Road is closed A number of smaller local roads are closed as well so anyone who needs to travel are advised to check before starting their journeys. You should also be prepared for conditions to change quickly, for roads to close with little or no warning, and to follow the directions of emergency services and traffic crews.
