19.01.2022 RULE CHANGE ALERT: Gundaroo Park has reopened for short term camping. Bookings are compulsory during this COVID period. As part of Gundaroo Park’s COVID-19 Safety Plan we have to record names and contact details (mobile number or email) for all campers. Please contact [email protected] or 0411 400 897 with your information. Social distancing and space rules apply especially in the amenities block. Cleaning will take place regularly but we ask those using the facilities... to do so safely and hygienically and to not leave rubbish about. There are new rules coming for camping at the Park as part of our formal registration as a campsite. These will be rolled out progressively in the new few months. They include limits on numbers of campsites (20), nominated camping zones and restrictions on noise and inappropriate behaviour. Most of these changes are aimed at being good neighbours and not impacting on those living around the Park. While the new rules have been planned for some time it seems a good time to start bringing them in as we re-open following the COVID restrictions. As we progress there will be more signage appearing around the Park. Ron Miller Gundaroo Park Land Manager Board See more
14.01.2022 Work starts at Gundaroo Park. Gundaroo Park users, including CAMPERS, please be aware that there’ll be some disruption and restrictions for the next few months as several construction projects are completed at the Park including a new water bore, the new Amenities Block and the playground shade and solar system. Temporary fencing is being erected today on the Amenities Block site and construction work will follow shortly. On Monday drilling will start on the new bore next... to the current bore shed near the entrance. The playground work is due to start in a few weeks and be finished by the end of November. We’re expecting that access to the oval itself will generally be as usual except for the northern side near the Men’s Shed/pavilion. Parking will be affected around the area near the toilets as willl some vehicle access. We’re expecting to keep the public toilets open and hoping the access behind the pavilion will be okay but this will depend on needs of the construction. Scouts and the Men’s Shed should be able to operate but access may be different. Signage will be in place. PLEASE REMEMBER SOME AREAS OF THE PARK WILL BE CONSTRUCTION SITES SO BE CAREFUL AND KEEP CHILDREN SUPERVISED. More information: Ron Miller 0411 400 897 Photo is of Sutton Amenities Block - ours will be similar.
