14.01.2022 Seeing that all schools are now back, I too will be available to present ‘Gundoo Dreamtime’ to Early Childhood Centres throughout south east Qld... I’ll be delivering the following in this cultural program for the children. . Cultural songs eg Head shoulders knees & toes in language; . Sounds of didgeridoo... . Dreamtime stories accompanied with native animal puppets . Native animal mimicking & movements for dance . Sit-Down dances from the Torres Straits . Farewell dance (Stand-up) to finish. All of the above is mostly interactive in a 45-50 minute program. There will be a new sit-down dance from the Torres Straits this year called ‘The Monkey & The Turtle’... This dance holds a theme for children to ‘not take without asking’ Finally I’ll be promoting the designs and development of ‘Children’s Native Gardens’ at Early Childhood Centres for the children to initially do the planting then with small watering cans do the watering to maintain them. Looking forward to your invite for me to present Gundoo Dreamtime at your Early Childhood Centre and maybe to build a native garden for you. Gene Blow Gundoo Dreamtime

05.01.2022 Bush walking with cultural interpretation of its environs is also a hit with families. There are several bushland parks (Boondall wetlands, Downfall Creek, Nudgee Beach Boardwalk, Mt Glorious & Karawatha) on Brisbane’s North and Southside that have an abundance of native flora and fauna. All parks have bush trails that are well spaced out for 1-3 hour walks. The Gundoo Dreamtime Bush Walk & Talk are all one hour trails so family groups can absorb what the bush has to offer en...vironmentally and culturally. Listen to stories of Koalas, Possums, Wallabies, Water Dragons, Herons, Owls, Bush Turkeys, Carpet Pythons, Native Bees and other wildlife that inhabit the bush lands and waterways. Also, native trees and other Indigenous plants to learn more on what they offer in the way of bush foods and resources. If there are families that would like a tour at one of our beautiful Bushland parks please send me an email ( [email protected] ) for further information. Gundoo Dreamtime
