25.01.2022 Christmas & New Year done and dusted and what a blast it was! Thank you to all our guests for staying with us, respecting others, leaving no trace and just being amazing campers that you all are!!! It was lovely to see all the smiles on everyone's faces, people enjoying all the activities & camp cricket brought back many camping memories of my own from my younger days Animal feeding has been a real hit these holidays and the animals (all 34 of them) are grateful & full ... Animal feeding is free & is around 4:30pm daily for future guests to also enjoy. See more
24.01.2022 After another busy weekend we just wanted to take a moment to thank each and everyone of our campers that has visited Gunna Park since our beginning. I think very few insights are ever given publicly about how camp owners feel so wanted to use this opportunity.... Both Greg & I find it so surreal and humbled by the fact that we have met so many amazing humans on this journey, many we are now lucky enough to call life time friends/return campers and everyone has left a lasting... impression in their own way. Just to see the smiles, appreciation, enjoyment & respect for our property/us that everyone has that stays is enough in its own right. We are so glad you all love it as much as us and thank you! Without campers that were willing to give us a try and feedback we wouldn't be so driven to continue to offer the best we can and strive to be better. Safe travels & we hope to see you all again soon

21.01.2022 Wow! That was one Halloween we will never forget!! We did our best to still make the most of camp-o-ween between the storms for campsite trick or treating & a awesome disco. Then we were hit by 2 supercell storms.... it ended in a flooded back patio, collaping gutters, 6 big sloggings of hail, 30+ campers/guests bunking at the house for the night and the dams overflowing BUT we are very grateful there was no serious damage and everyone was safe. ... Thank you to each and every camper for your understanding, patience and participation throughout the weekend. I know it was a scary night but we all made it through looking out for one another. THANK YOU The following day the kids and animals loved all the extra water
20.01.2022 We're going to give some of these a try! Has anyone tried any? Did it work? #campingfun #fire #firefun #colour
20.01.2022 There's so many great places to visit and see near Gunna Park so I thought I'll start doing some posts with local info about them all Today's adventure was to Tin Can Bay. Its ruffly a 30 mins drive through the pine forrest turning left out of our Gunna Park gates. The dirt forestry road has recently been graded so its a easy drive for all vehicles. There are daisies along the side of the road at the moment, it really is such a beautiful site to see. Be sure to keep your ey...es open as you might see brumbies along the way You can get up close & feed the dolphins at Barnacles Cafe & Dolphin Feeding at Normans Point, Tin Can Bay. Cost is $10 per person. Feeding starts at 8am. Best to get there a little earlier. Across the road there is an amazing playground with lots of shaded tables and BBQS. We also headed to the Tin Can Bay Markets Held on the third Saturday of each month in the park alongside the RSL Hall on the Tin Can Bay Road from 8.00am until 12 noon in the Winter and 7am in the Summer. Close enough for a day trip and something different, enjoy!

20.01.2022 We have just been notified to shout out if any campers are looking for a Anzac Day Service near by below is the details for the service being held at Miva - 15 mins from Gunna Park.
19.01.2022 Another great adventure from Gunna Park is Dickabram Bridge located in Miva, QLD. 15 mins drive from the front gates. Its a beautiful site to see, 1 of only 2 road & rail bridges left in Australia! 23 meters high above the Mary River & 191 meters long!... Built in 1886. The name of the bridge comes from a local Aboriginal word dickabram meaning sweet potato that grew along the river flats there. There's a lot more interesting stories behind this bridge that can be found on the big sign before you walk down to the rivers edge. There are toilets, shaded areas, rest stop and picnic table at the top area. Its a easy, quick and enjoyable little adventure through passing little towns in the country side. The detail and sight of the bridge is like art before your eyes Maybe even throw in a fishing line there and see how you go?!

13.01.2022 Today's adventure was to Seary's Creek, Cooloola QLD & Rainbow Beach QLD. If leaving from Gunna Park it is a 50 min drive through the forestry. On your way into Rainbow Beach, stoping at Seary's Creek is a must for a restful picnic and even a swim in this easy-to-get-to, serene and popular day-use area. ... Choose to enjoy the shade of cypress pines and she-oaks then take a short stroll along Seary's Creek boardwalk to a cool, freshwater creek for a refreshing dip. On the big sign at the beginning of the boardwalk learn all about Patrick Seary, a timber-getter from the 1860s who explored this region which now bears his name. Whilst walking down the short boardwalk enjoy all the beauty nature has to offer. There are toilets & picnic tables available at the day use area. We took pool noodles and float rings & just floated in the lagoons & the kids floated down stream and adventured over the logs and bridges also. We even found a eel, yabbies & some eel tail cat fish up near the waterfall. A goanna gave us a little scare climbing a tree also After our refreshing dip we headed to Rainbow Beach and got some fish and chips for lunch and ate them down at the beach. Followed on by a ice cream and headed home. A easy and enjoyable day out for all!
12.01.2022 That was a mission.... but it will be worth it when all the kids play on it! Thank you to everyone who helped move, assemble & paint it. Its a beauty! Now for the finishing touches of sand pits underneath and a hammock next to it for parents to relax on as the kids play.
12.01.2022 We thought we would notify all in advance and will obviously let all campers know on arrival. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but better to be safe than sorry! Have a great night all

05.01.2022 The camping grounds are looking so green So many awesome secluded camping sites, how could a guest ever choose just one?!
03.01.2022 The next adventure for the Gunna Park - Bush Camp recommends posts was to: Mothar Mountain Rock Pools. Located at Noosa Road, Gympie QLD in the Woondum National Park, about a 35 minute drive from Gunna Park. The Mothar Mountain Rock Pools day area provides the perfect family friendly location for a barbecue or picnic. There are picnic tables, barbecue & toilets at the waters edge.... On a hot day immerse yourself into the rock pools to cool off. Take a pool noodle (you can borrow one off the toy library at Gunna Park if you've forgotten yours) and relax whilst the kids explore. The Rock pools can get a little busy but if you walk upstream a little as we did there are many private and secluded pools that you can enjoy all by yourself. Set amongst a mixture of tall Eucalypts and rainforest you can take the opportunity to relax and unwind to the sound of water gently flowing over ancient granite outcrops. Or if you are feeling more energetic, enjoy one of the nature walks. There is a short 500 metre (20 minute) forest walk or a rather more serious 3.5 kilometre (2 hour) walk to explore. There is also 4wd tracks and horse riding trails available. We'll definately be taking our horses there in the near future!! We took my Prado through the 4wd tracks and it was a easy & enjoyable drive. There are more extreme tracks also if your game enough! This place ticks many boxes all in one spot! Its a must visit if you love nature!
02.01.2022 Allan Gumm will be playing today from 2-6pm. Come down bring a chair and say hi & listen to some good music played by a great artist next to the big communal fire! Kerry will also still be here serving coffee & frappes and more.
