24.01.2022 - - Gabriel is participating in the Rotary Exchange Program and will be in Gunnedah for the next 12 months! We asked him some questions to learn some more about him, as well as see what experiences he has had in the past 3 weeks since his arrival!... Age: 16 Date of Birth: 30th of April Nationality: Austrian : Red : Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix : Austrian kaesespaetzle : Spring : an island , : flying ' // ' ? Tasting Vegemite. ? I really want to improve my English, meet new people and find friends. / ' ? I want to visit Sydney and also the Outback. ? My first reaction was: "Gunnedah, where?", then I searched it in the internet and found out that it is about as big as my village and thought "all right, that's okay".

21.01.2022 Gunnedah 2380 Rotary Club has reluctantly decided to postpone the Mexican Pop Up Restaurant planned for 28 March. Our decision is a result of the spread of the coronavirus. We hope to run the event in spring.

20.01.2022 Gunnedah Gallop 2019!

20.01.2022 Hello Gunnedah! It’s been ages since we last spoke, 3 years already since I left! Are you Rotarians still having fun on Thursday nights without the coolest exchange student? I bet you’re not because you miss me too much (just kidding!!!!) I’m currently studying a double degree of Business Economics and Law at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (University of Sacro Cuore) and I get my degree sometime next year. However I will begin a graduate course to specialise, and th...at will go on for another 2 years. I don’t know what I will be doing after I finish, job wise, because there are so many possibilities, but we will see what the future brings! And of course I miss Gunnedah, like what else am I meant to say! I miss all the Rotary meetings and all the Rotarians, especially Colin Rosewells (you’re still my favourite). I miss my host families more than anything, and I still have all the pictures and polaroids up around my bedroom (Maria can attest to this). I hope that the new exchange student is settling in well and enjoying Sunny Gunny as much as I did! I hope you are all well and I am waiting for visits from everyone! Lots of love from Lake Como, Greta

02.01.2022 Last Friday the Rotary Club of Gunnedah 2380 held their 2020 Changeover dinner. Thank you to Pat & Kell Walls for hosting the very enjoyable night. We celebrated 3 things: 1. Our changeover of the board - where nothing changed. Congratulations to our ongoing President Pat Walls, our secretary Russell Swanson & treasurer Ana Gomes. Matt Davis, Lauren Robertson, Stacey Mcallan and Paul O'Donnell were welcomed to the board aswell. 2. We said goodbye to our amazing exchange stude...nt Gabriel who is returning home to Austria this week. Gabe survived. Sadly he didn't get to see a lot of Australia but has promised to return. 3. It was our first meeting outside of COVID where we got to catch up face to face and joy each others company. Face to face meetings resume from now on with weekly meetings on Thursdays for lunch, venue at 268 Conadilly Street Gunnedah. See more
