16.01.2022 Just a quick reminder to all our small animal clients to check you have a copy of your furry friend/s history file, or you have contacted us to have the file emailed to a selected vet clinic.

12.01.2022 Do you want your pet returned to you? Micro-chipping your pet is the best chance you have to have your beloved furry friend returned to you. This can only work if your details are current, so if you move or have changed your contact details you need to let the council know so they can update your details to insure your pet is returned. If you purchase a puppy make sure you fill out a change of ownership form. If this is not done and your pet goes missing and you are not the registered owner on the database, the pet unfortunately cannot be returned to you.

11.01.2022 Does your pet have ear mites???? Ear mites are a cause of irritation and discomfort in cats and dogs. They may affect one or both ears. Ear mites can occur in cats and Dogs of any age but are more commonly seen in kittens. The entire life cycle is spent on the host, with transfer from animal to animal probably occurring through close contact, which is why it is advisable to treat all in-contact animals. Cats and dogs with ear mites may scratch or rub their ears causing tra...uma. The pinna and ear canal may be red and inflamed. Diagnosis is usually made by seeing the characteristic brown ear wax and mites in the external ear canal using an otoscope. See more
