22.01.2022 Harmony Day (21 March) celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. Here we share some pi...ctures from Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar at Adelaide where student from Allenby Gardens Primary School attended routine ceremonies to celebrate the occasion. Additionally, we have pictures supplied by ‘Turbans and Trust’ who held their Harmony Day story time at Subiaco Library in Perth. Our regular listener, Nayna Bhandari attended a multicultural event where she had a lovely looking Assyrian dress. Shireen Chawla attended Harmony Day Celebrations as organised by Manningham Council on 19th March. At this interfaith network, Shireen’s son Ujwaldeep Singh represented Sikh religion and gave a speech about ‘Why Sikhs have long hair and wear a Turban’. Or you attended any ceremonie, please share with us and we will spread the word. ------------------------ The fact of the day - Harmony Day is held every year on 21 March to coincide with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The message of Harmony Day is everyone belongs. It’s a day to celebrate Australia’s diversity a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home.

19.01.2022 Guru Nanak Punjabi School students performing various religious activities during the ongoing Baisakhi Samagam at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar Allenby Gardens. Students also received appreciation certificates and prizes. We appreciate the hard work done by the staff.
