25.01.2022 I love it, my dad used to give me a card every Xmas that told me I had just bought a toilet in San Salvadore!!.

23.01.2022 Guttergirls is temporarily ceasing all work at heights during the depths of winter to focus on upgrading our safety equipment, training and protocols. This will involve consultation with worksafe to achieve compliance and no work at heights may be undertaken till this is completed. We will post an advisory notice when we are "back on deck" to resume business as usual. Meantime, if you have any questions about your roof, your gutters, or your tank water quality issues, we are always happy to answer your questions by phone on 0424 025 478 Cheers to all our customers and keep yourselves safe during Covid.

22.01.2022 fire storms get big enough to create their own weather front, with huge winds from the heat sucking in the surrounding air because of the pressure differential, which super heats the fire, and the contrasting air pressures can cause their cumulous storm clouds with their own lightning strikes, starting more spot fires. The science behind a fire storm is really amazing/scary and most people just can't wrap their minds around it because the facts defy belief. So many people enc...ountering a fire storm are just unprepared for the reality.... So for all my customers, Clean up for summer, particularly around your driveway and garage for a good exit. Pack your grab bag for 2weeks (because it can easily be that long before you are allowed back past smouldering trees with your photos, ID files, insurance policy papers and animal cages. Get out really early.! Fact: the roads around the hills are not able to allow a timely evacuation of the population in the hills. if one road gets blocked, it will be a traffic jam. Last fires the roads were mayhem if there had been a fire in the hills not just belgrave south, there would certainly have been fatalities. Dont try to stay and defend your home. just up your insurance, add $50k for site contamination cleanup if there is asbestos in your old home, allow for 1 years rent, and add another 80k+ to rebuild insurance to meet higher BAL building requirements. It is just a building folks! Be Safe, not sorry!

21.01.2022 corona virus policy. we clean gutters mostly while our customers are at work, and spend our days outdoors with plenty of air and easily 1.5mtres space away from customer contact. we leave our invoice in the letterbox for payment on line to our account. the only likely contact interface would be the paper invoice, the top of your green bin and your outdoor PowerPoint. virus surface contact life is about 6 days.noone will know if they are asymptomatic, we can only manage risk a...s best we can. please advise if you would prefer emailed invoices, and discussions can take place happily from the roof which should be safe. we wear gloves at work so contact should be minimal. we won't come if anyone is sick, this has been our policy for years for safety.we will take payments if your finances took a hit, as many will need overflowing gutters fixed as an essential service. We will post if we have to go into quarantine, we have already had a practice run so we know what to do. cheers and good luck to all in the coming times. if you have any elderly relatives who lived thru the depression or the last pandemic, seek their experienced advice. This has happened before but our younger generations need to be re-educated. See more

13.01.2022 The quintessential definition....

12.01.2022 a good bit of advice!!

12.01.2022 this is the official site we subscribe to... !!

11.01.2022 When you are looking for contractors be aware that there are many sites online that promise you 3 free quotes. The problem with this is that the contractors have to pay a fee to obtain your phone number from them to be able to quote to you. I trialled some of them to see what they were up to, they do send the contractor work to quote on, the fees range from a few hundred dollars a year to $15 to $25 per quote to the contractor. Of course the contractor has to add this onto y...our bill! Do bear in mind that if the contractor has to do 3 quotes to get one job, the overhead will be 3 times the quote fee. so what may be a small amount on a big ticket item like cabinets or a kitchen, becomes unreasonable for a small job where the relative percentage is higher. I don't want to have to add $45 to a bill that's often less than $300, it's ridiculous, just puts middlemen in both our pockets. There are a lot of these companies on the web. So beware, if someone guarantees you 3 free quotes for a job through their services on the web, it's not, you will pay for it, so do consider if having them find you someone to quote a job is financially viable to doing the search yourself. 10.01.2022 great article explaining the fire phenomena. This is why you run away, dont try and defend.

10.01.2022 well if you had any doubts about if you defend, just don't. bear in mind this is only scrubby forest not like the real mountain ash forests with 100 foot high trees like we have in the hills. the radiant heat from a proper forest would have cooked the cars on the roads and you couldnt drive out. they were lucky.!

10.01.2022 tree down across my road big enuf for the thump to jolt my feet, found this great app called 'snap send solve' so I sent a photo with the details and the gippy council came roaring up with 2 blokes and a chainsaw...more firewood for winter!!

09.01.2022 Now there's an opportunity! Thought some of you might be keen on!

09.01.2022 garden art, so clever!

07.01.2022 for all my customers out there, if you go to a site such as hipages, serviceseeking, or any sites offering 3 free quotes from a tradesperson, the tradesperson gets charged to be able to quote to you. you get a higher price to cover the fee. the fees vary of course but on average it's about $400+ per annum to get leads from these companies. I do not subscribe to any of these companies but they have my name on their list and keep sending your numbers to me in the hopes I will pay for them. sadly I sometimes see my existing customers on the list hoping to contact me through them. my phone number is 0424025478.please ring direct if you need our services.!

07.01.2022 It's that time of the year again, well it was yesterday before winter came back today, but it will be again next week and they'll probably be cranky their moulting time was interupted by unseasonal changes, so heres whet to do...

05.01.2022 ok this is a curiosity worth a look if you like artsy stuff!!

05.01.2022 like to see small business doing their bit for the environment!!!

04.01.2022 just for my customers here is a handy little bit of information about your concrete tank!

02.01.2022 Does everyone know about the Victorian government's energy initiative to get people to shop around? Go to victorianenergysaver.vic.gov.au and fill in the forms to get a comparison of different retailers and their prices as well as $50 towards power bills from the government. ps when you Google this makes sure you get the govt site from the Google page and not all the private energy comparison companies who get kick backs and hound you for the business.
