24.01.2022 This is my first post in a few months.. it's a longer post. But i just want to explain a few things and also show what isolation has been with us. 2020 and Covid has affected everyone in different degrees and diffrent ways. I am one of the lucky ones as I work full-time outside of my business. My business is a huge passion of mine. But these are unprecedented times we are all facing. Unfortunately detailing isn't an 'essential ' service so to speak. I decided to semi close... my business these past few months to allow the other guys in the area who don't work full-time to continue and survive these tough times. I don't want to compete, eveyeone needs to eat and live. So I turned my attention to my own car. I have repaired, sanded and resprayed my car. Paint takes roughly 6 weeks to fully cure. So the last 2 weekends I've completely wet blocked and sanded the car. A heavy cutting stage and a light cutting stage have been completed to remove 99% of defects and imperfections. It's been 6 weeks since the respray. This weekend is a complete refinement and 2 stages of polishing. Before applying 6 layers of ceramic coatings. Why on a Mazda 6 do u say lol. Well what better way to not only fill in months of covid regulations and distancing.. But to showcase what I would say, would be the highest end of my skills, knowledge and possibilities for u the customer. Keep an eye out over the next 7 days for updates and see for yourself the levels of gloss and clarity that continue to improve each step and day.

24.01.2022 The CLA 45 is complete. Here is a walk around of it complete. Full post to follow later.. White is the hardest colour to make pop as it absorbs all of the spectrum of the sun's colour rays.Video doesnt do it justice. It pops insanely.

20.01.2022 This beautiful CLA 45 was received by me having a dealership 'paint protection' applied 2 weeks prior. Upon request from customer it was obvious from a visual inspection that a full paint correction hadnt been undertaken before the 'protection' was applied. So with my skills and knowledge i knew i could remove 95% of the defects and take the gloss levels beyond the customers request. Before a ceramic coating was applied. Which protects the vehicles paint work for years. Not ...months. The process was as follows. - full decontamination wash including clay bar - masking of the sensitive areas and vinyl roof. - 1 compound (cutting) stage - 2 polishing and jewelling stages to extract the maximum amount of gloss possible - All piano black trims, and moulds were compounded and polished - 2 layers of ceramic coating was applied to the paint and all piano black trims and moulds.Which will keep the car looking this way for years to come. Not months

16.01.2022 In between a big pre sale detail ive been working on this week. I had a wash and spray sealant application to this Suzuki swift today. Sexy Suzy is looking good. Foam wash and hand wash. Spray sealant applied. And rejuvenated the old faded plastic under the wiper arms.

15.01.2022 Tom's E430 badly needed some attention. A chemical and mechanical decontamination was undertaken including clay bar. Followed by a 3 stage cut and polish to remove all the heavy swirl marks and restore a high gloss level and clarity to the paintwork. Glass was polished and exterior window rubbers freshened up.

14.01.2022 2 coatings down. 4 to go.

11.01.2022 The first car in the room of truth. The swirls and scratches are very obvious. Even on this white CLA 45 Mercedes. Stay tuned for the results over the weekend. This car is receiving the ultimate in paint correction and cermaic coating... 1 cutting stage, 2 polishing stages. And 2 layers of ceramic coating.

08.01.2022 The new and improved workshop. The black walls allow for a greater visual identification of paint imperfections. Which in turn improves the quality and results of every paint correction (cut and polish) undertaken. Quality and results are our motto at GV Premium Detailing. This room is a game changer. It may even be named the room of truth. Imperfections have no where to hide now. We are still open during the COVID-19 crisis. Every week from Friday 5pm - Sunday 5pm.
