24.01.2022 2020 has been a challenging year for all - not being able to run our Avenel Horse Trials was hard for not only ourselves but our riders as well. We remain positive though, and some good does come - so we think we can sum 2020 up in 2 photos............ First one - our shiny new pavilion rising out of the ground with verandahs overlooking the arena's, full kitchen, bar and most importantly, SHOWERS!!!! And second (and most appropriately for 2020) - a dead kangaroo floating in the water jump!!

22.01.2022 Dear riders, unfortunately due to Covid-19 we have made the difficult decision to cancel this years event. At this stage we are hoping to run something, but what that will be is anyone’s guess at this stage! We will keep you all informed as to what that will be as things progress.

21.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that we were able to donate at total of $1600 to this cause from out recent clinic held at Greenvale. GVHTA donated $850 along with another $750 from the User Group Fee with the generosity of our other users of the facility. Bulla Adult Riding Club, Tullamarine Pony Club and Oaklands Horse & Carriage Driving Club. We would like to thank all riders who attended and let you know that you have contributed. 05.01.2022 Sometime earlier this week, some low-life has cut the fence to our Greenvale grounds and stolen one of our portable XC fences! The fence was spiral fixed to the ground so they have unscrewed the brackets and then taken the jump. The jump was the 80cm finish seat (that's it just in the left of the photo - but it looks similar to the larger one shown). If anyone spots this sitting in someones paddock we would certainly appreciate knowing where. Unfortunately though, being a... seat, there is a very good chance it is now sitting in someones backyard BBQ area. Hopefully Karma catches up with those responsible!
