16.01.2022 ALL Trucks and Freight EXEMPT from border Closures: ALL Trucks and freight exempt from the closures of all state/territory borders .. according to the informat...ion provided by the peak trucking bodies in each state. In some cases their Governments have yet to FORMALLY confirm that and all the Transport Ministers are meeting right now. So we expect a formal announcement shortly. ESSENTIAL means ALL . unfortunately some officials and governments cant help but use unnecessary words when they say something, adding gloss. Many comments by Ministers around the country refer to essential freight being exempt from the closures. What they really mean is that ALL freight IS essential and therefore its exempt. WATCH THIS SPACE for updates. The advice we have posted previously re what operators and drivers should do re COVID19 will be incorporated into agreed industry protocols which once settled will be published asap.
