23.01.2022 We are fortunate to have the support of Dr Kerryn Phelps a respected Medical Practioner and Politician advocating to re-instate Naturopath for Private Health Insurance Rebates.

20.01.2022 As part of the Private Health Reform 16 Natural Therapies were cut from Private Insurance rebates as of the 1st April. The government has said that one of the main aims of its reforms is to make private health insurance more affordable. By scrapping certain natural therapies, the government hopes this will help to drive down premiums. The other claim made was in light of a review by the National Health and Medical Research Council. It found that there was no clear evidence ...of the effectiveness of the listed natural therapies. (excuse me while I choke) As you can imagine those of us in the industry did not take kindly to these changes and have relentlessly petitioned for Naturopathy to be re-instated for Private Rebates. Fortunately, we have been heard and Private Insurance Health Minister Greg Hunt has announced that an updated review will be commissioned to look at new evidence for natural therapies. This a significant step in the campaign to have naturopathy and western herbal medicine private health rebates reinstated We can live in hope. Please sign the petition to support this review.

18.01.2022 This incredible product has made its way into my pantry. HEMP I have been sprinkling it on my porridge alongside chia seeds and LSA and have found that as a result of the protein that hemp provides I am sustained for hours. No mid morning snack necessary in fact even at lunch Im not feeling overly hungry. For me thats a first! I usually have a very big appetite so its vey noticeable to me and those around me to not hear Im starving a known mantra of mine

17.01.2022 Not only do people tend to self diagnose, they also self prescribe. I often ask clients to bring in the supplements that they are currently taking. It is usually a cocktail of half empty bottles of probiotics, a multi vitamin, a magnesium ,tumeric a bit of this and that and the other ... no real reason for taking any of them its just incase. The large Pharmacy Warehouse places offer amazing deals buy one get one free.. an extra 30% to the already 1,000 capsules!. It's... a gamble anti-inflammatory, Immune boosting, eat better, sleep better, muscle relaxants, mange menopause...take your pick, lucky dip! Self Diagnosis and self prescribing don't offer you any peace of mind they are just a stab in the dark and often do more harm than good. Save the stressful thoughts save your $$$$$. Have you ever eaten something and felt lethargic, nauseous and you swore never to indulge again... haven't we all. I believe your path to good health begins in the kitchen cooking simple healthy meals with food that nourishes you both mentally and physically. Don't over complicate your choices of meals. Choose seasonal produce from the local farmers market and experiment with them. Your not a TV Chef so no need to try to replicate complex recipes just get in the kitchen and be inspired with beautiful produce that looks so alive and vibrant you just have to eat it!
