21.01.2022 It's hard to believe it is eight years since I took up blogging. These days, I have plenty of ideas but not so much time. The blog began as a way of documenting an upcoming European Holiday, and was first called "55 Days with Gwen" the reason for which will become obvious in the next few posts. 12.01.2022 When we were invited to a lunch in Canberra I was initially reluctant, not so much because of the three hour drive each way, but more from COVID-19 concerns. But as days without community transmission became weeks, and both ACT and NSW governments relaxed restrictions, I too relaxed. 10.01.2022 Monday 22nd February was our wedding anniversary, and we celebrated with a night at the Sofitel Darling Harbour in Sydney. We masked up and braved the train - our first journey on public transport for months - arriving to a warm welcome around 11am, where we ditched our bag and went off for a walk around the precinct. The Eora people called Darling Harbour ‘Tumbalong’, meaning a place where seafood is found, and when Europeans came along they called it Cockle Bay.... https://garrulousgwendoline.wordpress.com//celebrating-in/

05.01.2022 When we awoke after a good night's sleep at the Sofitel Darling Harbour we drew open the curtains ... and the city was still there, although blanketed under dull skies. We went off for a pleasant and socially distanced A La Carte breakfast at the hotel's restaurant - buffet options are still off the menu due to COVID - and then checked out, once again leaving our overnight bag in the lock up room.... https://garrulousgwendoline.wordpress.com//still-selebrat/
