19.01.2022 @brian_bullard is using one of our Super Narrow tanks on his current Triumph build. The lines on this bike are insanely good. For me there's two major lines that need to be met for an overall build. The side view has to flow and the top view as well. Our range of tanks were designed to give people that classic peanut tank side profile. But change up the top profile to flow with the bike better. This bike is a classic example of where the lines just flow and is no doubt shapi...ng up to be an amazing bike. 11.01.2022 Part 2 - Rear Brake I put up an earlier post up a while back about my stuff ups with the rear brake pedal. Originally I made the brake pedal and it pulled on the master cylinder pin rather than pushing it in. Classic example of making a 'cool' brake pedal but then realising it wouldnt suit the actual bike/setup. First change up consisted of changing the master cylinder set up so it had a pivot actuator. The pedal pulled a chain that pushed the master cylinder pin in from the ...actuator. This looked cool and chains seem to be the thing to use on choppers..... But this bike is a front spool wheel with rear brake only and relying on a chain is not very functional. Second change was making a 'lee style' brake pedal that actuated a 'hidden' master cylinder. At this point i finally learnt about leverage ratios and how to account for the bore size of the master cylinder. Does anyone else know this? Most old blokes told me 'just keep modifying it until the brake feels right'. Final change, was a new master cylinder (old one had a progessive leak), changing the brake pedal shape slightly to have a bigger upsweep and making the bottom lever on the brake pedal a little longer. The master cylinder pin was then machined and threaded into a heim joint. I found this allowed a smoother action of the pin by allowing some movement at the brake pedal lever. 08.01.2022 A little while back we teamed up with Dallas @ranch_cycles for a collaboration. I had an old set of Narrow Flanders drag bars that I wanted Dallas to make a similar set of. The idea was to use them on the current shovel build to give that low tough tight feel to the bike. I loved that these bars had a bit more pullback than your standard cookie cutter drag bars.
