18.01.2022 Welcome Joshua Clarke! Today Grieve Watson Kelly Lawyers welcomes a new partner Joshua Clarke. Joshua is a solicitor with 10 years of legal experience. He was personally mentored by Timothy Kelly, a solicitor with over 50 years success in complex compensation matters. Joshua is an understanding and results-driven solicitor. 11.01.2022 Great win for our client, who suffered paraplegia as a result of the negligent failure to halt a surgical procedure, with the High Court declining to grant special leave to appeal the earlier decision of the NSW Court of Appeal in Sparks v Hobson, which upheld his award of $3.8 million plus costs. Interesting questions left to be addressed regarding section 5O of the Civil Liability Act 2002 following this case and the earlier decision in McKenna v Hunter & New England LHD.
