I remember dreaming that "stuff it! I want to play and he said he will be replacing it anyway". Funny what the mind does in your dreams, at no point did I remind myself that the whole reason I had to retire wasn't my knee. It was the neck injury

13.01.2022 Gwydir Rugby would like to thank their players, sponsors and spectators for their support this year and inform you that due to continued COVID restrictions the CNRU competition has been officially cancelled for 2020 season. We hope to rollover sponsorship and player registrations to the 2021 season. The decision was made in light of the fact that we will not be able to play in front of a crowd of more than 10 people until public health orders are lifted mid August. Rugby is a very social game for players and their family and friends - it is a big part of our community and would not be viable option for players and 10 officials only. We hope that all of our rugby members and families are safe and well during this time.

10.01.2022 Notice Board Central Northern Rugby has taken a decision to cancel its official rugby competition for 2020. As a responsible member of the general community thi...s decision was taken in light of the on-going COVID Pandemic and the effects it has had on all aspects of our lives. Central Northern Rugby will be here in the future and whilst this is the first time a competition has been cancelled there are bigger issues for us as a community to deal with in our personal and business lives. However, and should the opportunity arise to do so, the Zone may conduct some format of rugby later in the year but only within the directives and restrictions in place at the time. Many thanks to our sponsor SANTOS who has continued with its sponsorship for 2020 which continues a long standing arrangement with SANTOS. We have been humbled by this generousity and continuing support of rugby. I personally thank our clubs for their support and understanding of the environment that brought us to this decision. It must be noted that this decision affects only the senior clubs. Central North Junior Rugby will continue with its 2020 program and we wish them all the best.
