You will get a good view of the boats flying across the water from St Georges Beach. 04.01.2022 Meet "Joe the Buska"! Joe plays a wide range of much-loved Aussie and international classics acoustically (and a few originals too!). Joe donated his time a few Sundays ago over our lunch service by setting up a collection jar at the bar for people to contribute to whilst he played. What a fantastic fundraiser this was and all proceeds went towards our Junior sailors.... GYC would like to thank Joe for his generous time and we look forward to seeing Joe again at our opening day on Sunday 11th October. 04.01.2022 Fantastic results from our building 125 team over the Easter weekend at the 125 State Championship at SoPYC. Team Lime Dash 2 with Pidge and Taya finishing 12th, Sam Dewyers with his Weapon Of Mass Destruction in 10th. Our current Pelican State Title holder Jack Preston managed a double header for the season with another state title to his name crewing with SoPYC young gun Ryan Sherburn. Congratulations to all.

03.01.2022 Last Saturday, 13 amazing children completed the Tackers 1 - Having Fun, sailing program. They learned the basics of sailing Optimists in a pair, boat handling skills, and the essential background sailing theory that allowed them the freedom of sailing the small boats with guidance from the GYC Instructors. Thank you to our volunteers instructors Dave Fishwick, Peter Redway, Steve Pidgeon, Jess Felix, Geoff Weldon and Sam Dewers, instructors Taya Weldon and Chloe Vasic. We thank the parents for their support of this program as juniors are the future of any sporting club and we really want to encourage more kids to get involved with sailing and onto the water.
