25.01.2022 We love family incursions! Today Ava’s mum Laura came to visit Gymea Pre-Kindergarten to educate the children about hand hygiene, sneezing and coughing in our elbows, social distancing and how nurses help us when we have a trip to the hospital. Laura who is a local nurse also did a fun germ experiment with the children, showing how soap repels germs.... Looking forward to some more family incursions soon! Dandelion is a not for profit organisation that helps families with young children have access to items essential for their safety, wellbeing and development.

07.01.2022 Happy Australia Day This years theme for Australia Day is Reflect, Respect and Celebrate. This morning the children at Gymea Pre-Kindergarten paused during our morning Yarning Circle to discuss the First Nation Australians. We followed this with an Acknowledgement of Country and flag raising ceremony learning about what each colour of our flags represents. ... It was time then to celebrate by playing balloon tennis, beach volley ball, making fairy bread, green and gold jelly cups and Australia Day craft in our rooms.
